Key will not turn in the ignition

Yes, I’ve tried turning the steering wheel 180° in both directions with no result. I can’t move the gear changing knob to neutral.. The dash lights come on. But the key won’t turn and the truck won’t start.

Any suggestions?

Truck "brain" may "think" the vehicle is not in park. Try putting it in N via the method given in the owner's manual if a vehicle is in park or a mode other that neutral and won't start and you want to get it on a tow truck. Return it to P and see if starts. Just a suggestion and may not work. If nothing else, you will know how to get in N to get it to a dealer.

I had this same issue the first time I got into the truck.

Make sure the truck is in Park and the brake is on
Get out of the truck and double click it to lock
Wait 30 seconds and double click it to get in
Place foot on brake, insert key and turn it "all the way" clockwise

This should work. If not, I'm at a loss...................

Have you tried disconnecting the negative battery cable for a few minutes, then reconnect and truck should reset.

CG all the way! I was so excited to read your post because it was at least something I hadn’t tried. Much to my disappointment, when I lifted up the center panel and popped up the tab indicated on the instructions there’s nothing there. on the left side there’s a wiring harness, but there’s no manual parking brake override.

My steering wheel is not locked. My key won’t turn, and I cannot manually. Change the transmission from where it is into neutral j be

Have you tried throwing a battery jumper on it?
