Yes, if you activated Ford Pass the dealership can see the DTC ahead of time.

Had the same issue on mine. Will need exhaust, part on pack order. I am driving mine until the part comes in, and don't see a reason why I shouldn't be.
Mechanic told me not to drive....they had another get stranded

Mechanic told me not to drive....they had another get stranded
Hmm, guess it's good that you aren't driving then! Parts will start becoming available in late Jan....last I looked almost 200 on B/O and 100 pcs estimated to be delivered to dealers @ end of Jan. So yours may have to wait some.

I wonder what is failing on the heat exchanger. Is the coolant used in that heat exchanger also connected to the gas engine coolant? Or is it separate system?

We have a certain recall where ford has authorized paying for rentals for over 1 year. Not to scare you but long term rentals while trying to get parts has become way too common.

But if the Escape gets 32 MPG and your Mav gets 42 MPG....

BTW what's the Escape getting for MPG?

Hit that sucker with some epoxy, bailing wire, duct tape, JB Weld, or TIG Weld just to get ya by for a couple of months?

Ah, yes, that one...

The wonderful DPS6 DCT where early customers who brought their Foci and Fiestas to their dealers were told "Ford says it's operating normally, it's just a little quirky, deal with it".

The only reason mine lasted until ~90k mi with minimal issues was that it was babied, including easing into any acceleration (particularly from a stop) and running with SelectShift most of the time. Around 90k mi it still needed a new clutch pack and TCM. The replacement was a 2016 (after they "fixed" it) that didn't even make it to 60k (totaled), but before then, would just drop out of reverse when backing into a parking spot.

But this isn't really the place to discuss what an epic failure the DPS6 program was.
