Has anyone else had that warning message come up while both hands are on the steering wheel? Dealer said they can’t look at it for at least two weeks

Yeah, usually just my wife. Not specific to my Maverick.

Does it immediately disappear if you put in even some slight inputs to the wheel? If so, this is 100% normal.

It should only do that when you have the ACC and lane keep enabled. You can't take you hands off the wheel and let it drive for you. While it will do that it will start to warn you to put your hands back on the wheel. I have also gotten the warning when I have both hands on the wheel and I let off my grip a bit. The truck doesn't like that either. If you give the wheel a squeeze, the warning should go away.

It doesn’t sense your grip, it senses your input or resistance to its input. Just a slight drag on the wheel will let it know your still there. I love the ACC and LC functions. Hope you do too.

I definitely love it. It just scared me that something may be wrong lol. Now that I know it’s kind of normal I am fine

I love it too!

The pavement and road vibration is enough to make the steering wheel think it is getting hand input from the water in the bottle and well, you won't be asked to keep your hands on the wheel.
