Yup, my ETA just went from 02/21 to 05/01, in production since 01/04

My ETA went from 02/21 to 05/21.

They've got a serious parts (chips?) shortage going on.... only thing that makes sense.

Or some kind of flaw. My modules were populated for a long while and it went out for the SIBL weeks ago!

I think I'm done. Same shlt happened to my Bronco Sport.

Finally got the tracker to work and my ETA went from 2/17 to 4/30. This is beyond frustrating. There’s doesn’t seem to be any correlation to any particular trim or engine and the delays. I just wish Ford was more forthcoming.

Got a new Tracker update this afternoon. Shipped and on it's way.
Doesn't make sense that so many are getting such big delay messages.

Mine is still showing in production with a delivery estimate of 2/15/22. Spoke to my salesman this evening it is in transit with an estimate of 2/9-2/20

I suppose I am ignorant Please educate me on my misperceptions.

• I thought that once the blend date was reached, all required components were confirmed available
• I thought that once the "modules were populated", that the chips were installed and the vehicle was 'alive'

Exactly. I have to run with the idea that this is a glitch or I will lose my s#it. Everything we are seeing points to the delays in shipping making zero sense.

I'll hazard a guess about this:

About the blend date: I think you're right that it's supposed to work like that. But we've seen these "chip hold" things before where Ford decided to go ahead a build the vehicle knowing they could put the chips in later. I guess for them that's better than leaving the production line idle.

About the modules: I have two ideas: (1) the chips that are missing are not modules that show up in the "populated" data, or (2) what we are seeing is the data for the modules that are populated, and we will see more data when the final chips are put in.

I just hope this situation doesn't become another desert "rot lot" scenario like the June 2020 Bronco Sport builds that were put in a holding lot. Apparently, it was "first in, last out" as the chips became available. Several of my local dealers are still receiving some these June builds.

I don't understand how ford decides which mavericks gets build and which ones get held back because of chips. I've seen people with similar build to mine still in production even though they went into production the same week. I got lucky that mine got built, shipped, and I already received it, but my original production weeks was 11/29 and it got pushed back 3 times (12/06, 12/20, and finally 01/03). Which makes me wonder if it has something to do with the VIN number, mine ended with 25192.

My dealership checked the visibility info for mine today and it indicated "hold for microchip".
