jack stands are cheap and you only need one jack to lift one side and place the jack stand, then do the other side.

DO NOT GET UNDER A VEHICLE ONLY SUPPORTED BY JACK(S).
(although the Maverick has enough ground clearance you'd probably be ok. Still not smart.)
On all of my other vehicles I have used one jack stand on the pinch weld and another on a rail or cross member. On my hybrid Mav I haven't found anywhere besides the pinch weld to put another jack stand because of the under body shield. I thought about the lower control arm but I don't like that option. I want it on the body of the vehicle. Anyone have some suggestions?

and miss a perfect opportunity to buy a lift?
🤔

A pair of jack stands would be a better choice, and cost less, than another jack.
Ok. But if you use a jack at the designated jacking point, either the one included with the truck or a floor jack,......where do you put the jack stand?
I'd like to know how you jack up the front or the rear end all at once.

Trucks with frames could be jacked up by placing a floor jack under the pumpkin on the rear axle or the front cross member. Then place the jack stands under the frame.

Looking under the Mav I wouldn't trust using the rear differential to jack up the whole rear of the vehicle, or the engine/trans to jack up the front.

I guess one corner at a time, jacking at the outboard end of each lower suspension arm then placing the stand at the jacking point. (or visa-versa)

I would be interested to know as I'm planning on installing an HD rear sway bar. Any replies would be appreciated.
Thanks

Modern unibody vehicles are designed based on the dealer model of a 4 point 2 post lift. As a DIY'r, you jack from the side on a Maverick, either at the lift point, or with a spreader in the center of the lift points, always on the side sill pinch welds.

See post #12. You will have to remove the shield. Roll it up on ramps, remove the shield and use the areas I indicated in the picture at the link.

I discovered yesterday, while researching lifts, that there are "air jacks" to ride along the rails of four post lifts so that you can work on the tires & brakes, etc.

OK, so a pair cause about as much as the lift 😱 , but that's not the important part.

They have disks, apparently about 4 inches across, with grooves for the seam, which are sold separately.
