To anyone who is interested in having a clean, stock version of their Ford Maverick as a diecast, Matchbox has one confirmed for 2025. The ETA is unknown but expect it sometime next year. I just watched the 2024 Matchbox International Gathering of Friends in which they reveal their product line for the rest of the current year into the next year. They also have raffles, toy fair models that are exclusive to the event, 3d prints of the upcoming releases, etc. I have the link to the video provided below. Skip to the 8:00 mark to see it for yourself. I sure can't wait! I figure since Hot Wheels made one of their own, Matchbox should make one too. And like I said, it'll be stock as oppose to the custom version from Hot Wheels.
It should be noted that this Maverick will not be in the $1 basic range. It'll be in a more premium series called Moving Parts. They cost $2.59 at Walmart and Target and feature an opening part such as doors, hood, trunk, etc. In the case of the Maverick, it'll have an opening hood as the demonstrator noted.
(Edit) Here's an official picture of the finished product. It appears to be the Lariat trim judging by the LED daytime running light tampos.
It also appears to be released in a factory color which is the discontinued Area 51. BTW, don't worry about that code on the doors. That will not be on the official release. These are early, stamped prototypes.
