I didnt see where info was given on the rear view mirror. where is that from and has anyone mounted a alternate backup cam in the 3rd brake eye housing?
This mirror was just an impulse buy I got from Walmart for $19. Maybe it was on clearance, maybe it was priced wrong, maybe that's how much they cost, don't know, but come on $19, I took it. It's a clip on over the stock mirror and is serving the purpose I intended it to perform.

Just looking to share my mods I've done over the past couple months within my pay grade. The Tonka came to me very late in the long game most of us are playing with Ford, (500+) but was my first mod. They were fun a.f. as I've never done anything to my vehicles in the past. My last mod was my favorite because it took some outside the box thinking, drilling, and grinding, being the cargo hooks that attach and slide along the rail system and also lock in place. Now for the list with pics. Thanks for playing.

Exterior: Tonka decals, Tonka license plate frame, Tonka puddle lights, Maverick lettering, mud flaps, fender guards (choose this route to blend with muds flaps) and used it to do the tailgate and hood, bug deflector, door guards (they cover the entire edge of the doors all around), and my fav - the cargo hooks.

Interior: gear shift cover and storage divider, radio cover, dash storage bin with phone mount, USB ambient lights (1 in back lighting up fits garbage can and 1 to light up wireless charging tray area), custom cup lights (Tonka of course), and mirror dash cam. Not a mod but threw in a dash of Dewalt and I listen to music via USB on MY ipod video. (Bonus sync gets it).

Thank you all for giving me the courage to do this kind of sh-t, and the patience to get to 500+. MTC is my daily medicine.

I've been wanting to update my original post for some time now to document my story and share it with those who are simply interested. Shortly after my initial post, @KdeB gave me a nudge to bring the Tonka to Ford Nationals in June, in about 6 week. As I've mentioned before, this game is new to me, but I accepted the invite, and a whirlwind of ideas arrived in my head over several waking days, so it began. Within the thread, @pa-outdoorsman suggested bigger tires, and I agreed, so I picked his brain with suggestions and the how-to's. I reached out to @Discount Tire with some assistance, and they provided me with these amazing Toyo A/T Tires and Fuel Assault rims.

The waking moments of ideas began a passion I have never felt before.
I then envisioned Step Bars from @tac

that I installed myself along with a Sports Bar and Tonneau cover from @Keko Automotive.

What happened next... I met an amazing group of fellow Maverick owners at Ford Nationals that I call friends today. Here's just a few of them.

They voted for my rig, and I took home 1st place. Thank you all again, as this event is permanently embedded in my memory.

@pa-outdoorsman did this interview with me that I am still in awe over.
Since then, I've added the hood scoop, and I think I'm done with the mods. (🤷‍♂️)

This truck has hit home for me in so many ways. It has given me an unforgettable passion I've never felt before, a push out of my comfort zone, new friends, and, well, the best vehicle I've ever owned, with amazing mpg's.
If, imo, you don't look back at your rig after parking it, you bought the wrong truck.

@Tuch So glad you stepped out of your comfort zone and joined us at Ford Nationals. When Kim announced your Tonka would be there, that was my tipping point to get spectator tickets since I was still awaiting my Maverick, because I really wanted to see your truck.
I'm sure you'll never forget my over enthusiastic greeting as you pulled onto the show field.
It was a busy, fun filled couple days meeting and making new friends and seeing so many Mavericks and various Fords.
Still so thrilled for you and your award winning truck!
Already looking forward to 2024 Ford Nationals.

I've done plenty more mods and received another 1st place win(💛🖤Ty so much 💛🖤) to my Tonka-fied Maverick since my last post and I love them all. I Plan to document them and update my story here soon, but this mod hits hard for me and it can’t wait.

@MABETT fender flares just knocks it out of the park. Are you kidding me...it's what's been missing this whole time.

I had Muslogy's mud flaps and did a dry fit with the flares, and they were compatible. Muslogy's and Ford's mud flaps are so similar, I would say Ford's would be compatible as well, but Mabett's mud flaps are by far superior. They provide several more inches of coverage and are flexible.

I'm in disbelief at the huge difference it all makes my rig look, more like a truck than a toy, ya know... Tonka tough.

I like the fender flares … and have thinking about getting them. I like the black accents on A51.

Did buy the Mabbett mud flaps, but haven’t yet installed them. Also have the hitch cover surround piece to put in.

Need to get a day to do stuff …

The flares took me an hour, but everything I do these days takes longer than it should, I've accepted that. I'd think the mud flaps and hitch cover could be installed before a cup of coffee gets cold. If you do decide on the flares, they need installed first, then the mud flaps. Just saying.
