Almost exactly one year after I bought my hybrid Maverick I got a warning of vehicle entering battery saver mode. Well I didn't think much of it at the time so I didn't go out and start it. The next morning I went out to get in it and there was nothing can't get you out of park can't take the emergency break off. So I called roadside assistance and he came out there with a jumper pack and got me started and I took it to the dealer hoping that they would give me a better battery. Got warnings of analog break not working in a few other things not working. They charged the battery and said it was fine. So I haven't had an issue yet and it's been a month. I just hate to this happen and I've been thinking about buying something else non-hybrid if it wasn't for the great gas mileage I definitely would.
I'm on my second Maverick Hybrid. My first was a '24 XLT and now a '25 Lariat. The '24 had the 12v battery replaced by Ford at only 10 months of service. I keep a 3amp Battery Tender on the '25 that I plug in fairly regularly, so I don't actually know if it has the potential to even have battery issue. I love these trucks and dealing with plugging it in is a minor inconvenience... but I do wish Ford would fix this.

You have one part backwards.
I boldfaced it above.

The 12v battery does not start a hybrid.
It only runs the electronics that allow the high voltage battery to start the engine.

I think you forgot the word "not". So I added it for clarity.
Well, that's NOT true either! It absolutely is a regular car battery. The distinction is that the battery doesn't "start" the hybrid through a starter motor... it just turns on electronics that allow the gas engine to run when needed. But the 12v battery in these hybrids is just a regular old car battery, whether lead-acid or AGM. No distinction, nothing unique about them...
