My dealer came up with some story about how they can't discuss pricing before my truck arrives and even threw in that they "don't think x-plan will apply to the maverick" etc.

That doesn't make sense on the pricing unless they are planning on marking them up.

I'm having the same issues - Ford's sent me an email on the order, but the dealership is generally non-cooperative (I get the impression Maverick/Lightning customer service is on the back burner while the dealership scrambles to deal with the more pressing "All I've got on the lot is 2016 models that have been sitting on a storage lot for 5 years unsold" issue, in addition to only one sales person at the place seemingly knowing how the new online system works). It's a bit stressful, but I'm trying to ignore it as I'm already pretty far back in the list timewise as far as orders go, and if my order isn't actually legitimate now, then no amount of pushing is going to get a Maverick to me fast enough to do any good (My inspection/registration expires December/January, and there is no way the current deathtrap/environmental disaster I am driving can or should survive another inspection. And that's if I don't die in an early snow + my-brake-lines-are-jacked-up situation.).

If the order I've gotten emails about doesn't actually exist, I'm probably just going to have to go to a lot somewhere and pick through the 2016 scraps. Either that or buy a junker and limp my way forward until pure EV times are practical.

If they won’t talk price before, walk, no run away. Talk to @Dealerinsider or @fordvideoguy depending on if you are east or west unless you are close to Grainger. Get your price locked and salesmen that will keep you informed and in the loop. FVG has a list of CDs to use for delivery, DI is who I worked and can recommend personally. But your guy right now is setting up his boat payments, not looking out for you

This is the DORA everyone is referring to. 011T is your Order Code, so when your Maverick is scheduled to be built, you should get an email from Ford saying it's scheduled along with the VIN. Once you get that VIN, you can check status with the order code and VIN at the following url.

I've gotten an order confirmation email from Ford but my dealer has only provided me with the "order preview" page which doesn't have an order number on it. I've asked multiple times for a DORA and they're being evasive about it and also refusing to discuss pricing with me. Not sure how to feel about it.
The Order Code on that page is your order number. Along with the Sales Code. I called Ford and they see that order with those numbers. Not scheduled for Build yet, but the order is in the system. Priority Code is on there as well.

Okay maybe this is a misunderstanding on my part, I was lead to believe that the DORA form was a completely different form that comes from Ford confirming their acceptance of the order and was a different sheet than the order preview that the dealership provides. I've also seen screenshots of a "DORA" form that looks completely different with more detailed information on it like the dealers invoice price etc. Is that not correct?

That is what I received and at the bottom of the form was a customer signature block that I signed at the dealership when the order was placed. I've already been scheduled and have a VIN. You should be good to go.

In all likelihood, DORA is less of a 'standard form' and more of a standard of information that applies to the backend of whatever ERP software Ford runs. As such, its actual appearance can and will vary based on whatever software Ford dealerships are using at the moment to access the information. DORAs in the past were just data vomited on a sheet with the bare minimum of formatting necessary to make it readable. I would not be surprised if the modern DORA is, as the posted example appears to be, something spit out by a webpage's javascript. Using web browsers for this kind of thing is how many industries are shifting.

And yes, if true, that means something as trivial as what browser is being used by the dealership could alter how a DORA looks.

That DORA is missing invoice pricing. Attached is my DORA, and note the INVOICE and MSRP columns.

The DORA (Dealers Order Receipt Acknowledgement) is what the dealer receives from Ford when an order is placed. The dealer will not receive the DORA until a valid order has been input. There are checks very similar to when you built your truck on the Ford site. If you want to add an option you may have to delete another option for it to accept, that is what the system does. So no DORA until a proper configuration is input. The DORA is the receipt the dealer gets saying it was all good.

Hope this helps.

I would go to the dealership with a no nonsense attitude and ask what's the problem. Ask them if they treat all their customers like you've been treated. It is a difficult question for most dealers to answer, looking you in the eye.

They are either not paying attention to what Ford expects them to do when handling an order or they are screwing with you. I worked for a dealer group and this would not be tolerated.

What do you think the tactic would be here on their part? Trying to screw me on pricing or what?
Yeap pricing based on supply and demand at time of delivery. That’s just not Kosher to me.

I'm likely just going to cancel my order with them as they have proven themselves to be dishonest and inept repeatedly. I don't want to give them any of my money. Likely going to just do a drop-ship order with Long McArthur.

I have a priority code of 19 on my order. I was wondering if that is good or not.
