Today I got into my truck and started it up and plugged my phone into CarPlay. When I tried making a phone call there was popping in the audio and also in the music I played. I tried restarting my phone but that didn’t seem to fix the issue. I turned the truck off and got back in a couple minutes later and the issue seemed to have rectified itself. Got home and shut it off after about an hour I got back into go somewhere and plugged my phone in and the infotainment screen had lines going through it. The lines persisted in the settings and radio station sections of the infotainment as well not just during CarPlay. After driving to my destination I shut it off and after getting back in it seems to be normal now. Has anyone else had this kind of issue if so what is going on? I’m worried this might be a precursor to the wiring harness issue with the hybrid mavericks.

Try a different cord. That is frequently the issue on symptoms like what you are describing.

I have a Galaxy S22 and mine is glitchy too. Won't recognize that a phone (mine or wife's Apple) is plugged in periodically, won't respond occasionally to voice commands, or freezes during, etc.

It's glitchy for sure, even though I've tried several cables for both phones.

The one thing that "helps" is resetting the infotainment system. Simultaneously hold down the power and the "forward" button for about 5 seconds. Forces the stereo to reset and usually clears the issue.

Note from an engineer and car audio nut: you should NEVER have to reset quality electronics!

Thank you! Next time I’ll try the reset! But I don’t think it was because of the phone connection the screen was messing up in the infotainments actual UI so when in the FM radio section and such

I did but this persisted into the actual interface of the infotainment like the setting and radio sections

As a professional car audio technician, I highly agree. That's why I'm going to be changing out the radio as soon as they make a dash kit and firmware for the Maverick. I already know Metra is planning on making a dash kit within the next year or so.

I experienced the audio popping today. It was only apparent on the bluetooth & android auto connections.

I tried unplugging, turning off/on the truck, resetting the phone. Finally I did a "Master Reset" on the infotainment system. Everything works as normal now.
