Dual Zone refers to driver and front seat passenger each having their own temperature setting knob and is an upgrade over the standard of single temp setting knob for the whole cabin. Splits temp control into left/right zones, but has nothing to do with the rear seating area.
Thank you for clarifying

The temp in the back going to be almost identical to temp in front. It’s a small cab.

I mentioned in another post, that a lot of people don't remember, or didn't know that 25 to 55 mph air-conditioning use to be standard.

I posted a similar thing yesterday and a few people (the kind that are real fun at parties /s) just lost it over the part that says customers can't resell it in the first year.
I have these on my '87 Jeep XJ and I love them. They stopped putting them in around '90 or so because they tended to leak. I actually have this problem as well, but really only during serious downpours or in a car wash. I mitigated the problem by refreshing the seals. That said, I'd love to see them make a return.

To my knowledge, the first to cease was the Camaro/Firebird going from the 1967 to the 1968 model year.

They stopped not because of leaks, but because of cost and the fact that factory A/C was being installed in a higher percentage of sales. I think.
As a youngster, I had access to American Youth and Boys Life magazines(Dad's) from the 1920s-early 1930's. I noted an ad for a GM product, Chevrolet, I think, touting their new 'venti-panes' at the front of the window glass. Adding them was a sales feature, removal not so much.

So true! I remember my mom telling us that when they would drive down to Acapulco in the 30's they attached a wooden box to the passenger side window and put a block of ice in it to "cool" down the interior. Very high-end equipment ;)

How about when the only air conditioning was to roll your window down.

I once had a 1972 Chevy Sportvan that had originally been a Fire Dept ambulance in a previous life and had the bubble top removed but lots of auxiliary wiring for back up systems still intact. It went through multiple owners before i got it, but the funny thing was it actually had a working Swamp Cooler on the roof feeding through a regular sized vent cut out. I never used it as I did a light duty camper conversion on it, but liked the ingenuity for the no factory AC problem (y)

Tell your kids to shut up or they'll be sitting in the bed.

Yes, I know it's illegal now in many states. But they don't know that.
