What are you talking about, I use the mirrors and look over my shoulder, dont notice the stupid light most of the time in traffic tho, thats all im sayin, its worthless to me.
Up above I said if you're checking your mirrors you would see that light. And your response was that you look over your shoulder. Not that you look into the mirror and look over your shoulder. Make your answers clear if you mean something else. We can't Divine what you mean.

Just heard @fordvideoguy (Tim Bartz) says that there is some truth about the Hybrid, Co-Pilot 360 and Luxury Package/SIBL delays. View the video below and take a listen, he busted a lot of myths.

It's not that everyone who has these items in their order are moved to MY '23. Or that they definitely will not get built this year. Or production of these have stopped for the remainder of the model year. That is inaccurate.

But what is accurate is that they are now forecasting that now that the order books are closed and they know exactly how many units they have left to build in the '22 Model Year, they now are forecasting they will not have enough parts/components/microships for all the Co-Pilot 360 ordered units, the Luxury Package units and Spray-in Bedliners for every single person who ordered (and such equipped Hybrids as a result). But by the end of production for the '22 MY, they will have enough for most. But many of them may get pushed further out in this year's production as they will be building less of them along the way due to the constraints.

Production of Co-Pilot 360, Hybrids, Luxury Packages and Spray-In Bedliners continue. The production is still happening. But not everyone is going to get them, though. There will be some late purchasers who may end up having to drop these to stay in the '22 Model Year. He went through all the Long McArthur orders scheduled, showing that there are still Hybrid and Luxury Packages being produced this month. Production has not stopped, as some dealers/members have reported. But the constraints are real. He said especially ones with more semi conductor chips (Luxury Package components, like heated steering/seats/tech items, etc.). Hybrids also have more chips and affected too. Ford confirmed to him that they are experiencing Maverick chip shortages.

Dealers are probably calling to encourage some of their buyers to drop these items so their customers can get their units this year. And they make their money this year too. :) And this is probably why we are seeing chatter among members related to dealer calls.

And if some people drop these who do not really want them or were on the fence about them, or not really caring about these items, they will likely build sooner and they may end up having enough for all those who ordered.

Another interesting note is that Tim says you can modify orders, even though the order window is closed. BUT, you shouldn't change Trim levels because it will modify your order date and could put you at the back of the line. You also can't change to Hybrid, of course. You also cannot change if your order is locked by the Region (Priority Code 2) or if you have been scheduled.

WHAT WOULD WE ALL DO WITHOUT TIM?
I'm bumped for the third time. 2/8,15,22,29.

I changed from a Lariat to an XLT in early December after ordering in July. I called and confirmed with the dealer that it would not affect my date. Is this because I made the change before they stopped orders or did they move me to the back of the line?

Well, I ordered my Maverick just at the cut off in Jan 22. I purposely ordered an EB Lariat with absolutely no extras, hoping this will help avoid any constraints what so ever. After all, I’ve been driving for over 50 years, and to this point never used or needed any of the fancy tech. I’ve survived cold winters without heated seats or steering wheels, and I surely don’t need 360 to tell me how to drive. And all the other extras like bed liners or covers can be add later too. Hang in there everyone, we’ll get our Mavericks one day, and it will be worth the wait.

@fordvideoguy stated that a trim change also changes your order date. He said this after both order windows closed so I don't know if it applies to your vehicle.

Yes, what @Vols44 said is my understanding from Tim's comments. I think it's that way with all Ford retail orders. Not just the Maverick or the late orders of the Maverick.

The best way to find out if your order date changed is to call Ford Customer Service and check what they have as your build date and trim level. This way you'll know exactly what information your dealership gave them.

24forsure exactly !!! I like power mirrors, tilt wheel, cruise control, power windows, A/C and stuff like that, that's pretty standard these days, but I dont need that other stuff to help me drive. Heated steering wheel, sheeeeit. I have gloves. Heated seats? Sheeeeit, I have XLT cloth. Back in the day seat covers were vinyl. Hot in the summer, cold in the winter. We would put the ole corner store auto parts store fuzzy fake sheepskin seat covers on em for summer and winter. We called em Cheapskin covers back then.

I do have heated seats on my mustang GT I bought new in 2007. But that was a divorce gift I gave myself. My ex always bitched her chrysler sebring didnt have heated seats. So when I special ordered the mustang for myself, I selected the heated seats option, because I was gonna have em to warm my ass. I think I used em maybe 1 time to try em out. Was it petty? Yes, yes it was. But funny? Yes it was that too🤣🤣🤣 and for all those reasons it's exactly why I did it.

Yeah buddy, I spent one Pa. winter with no heat in my first VW, and had to defrost the windows on the inside with an ice scraper! 🥶

All these posts where people are saying "this driving tech is bad" or "that driving tech is bad" aren't really about tech.

The can all be boiled down to the same formula:

"I'm such a good driver that I don't need [insert tech]. People who want it are inferior to me."

It's kind of sad to see so many posts where people feel compelled to say that. Arguing about it is pointless. I think it would be better to just agree with them and hope they get to feeling better about themselves.
