1.33 amps on the lamp side (120v)
33 amps from the 12 side !!!
(that's a lot of amps)
In manual the fuze chart shows fuze 85 to be 60amp and is labeled "power inverter". So the wire to the inverter should be able to handle the load but the question would then what size wire would be in the harness to deliver the 400watt inverter output. Take care if replacing inverter!!!! Also wouldn't it be 3.33 amps at 120v and 33.3 amps at 12v???

correct, 33.33 amps (rounded after many threes)

Thanks for the link. I guess you can't argue with the science of electricity. I was curious whether the power was clean or not. I use a CPAP, and assume it likes good, steady clean power. I've always got other options if im traveling and/or get stranded.

I have a pacemaker and was told I have estimated 12 years remaining battery life so I'll have to schedule a battery swap out at 93 or sooner. Primary told me out of the blue to not fall down and avoid ladders and come back in six months so now I am worried about my home AC filters in my 10' ceiling. Also asked if I wanted to see nutritionist which I declined since I eat a varied diet. But I may change mind. Was reluctant to be in position to have to suggest how to cook to wife.😇

Meh, modified sine wave. Old school tech. Really not so good. For some small power tools, refrigerators, etc. it's acceptable but it can decrease their usable lifespan. For sensitive electronics, just don't use it.

I didn't go for the LUX package, but if I had the OEM inverter I'd be looking to swap it out with a similarly sized pure sine unit. Could likely do so using the factory wiring.

Was expected from day one. Thought it was probably worth most of $$ just to get harness installed.and then swap.

The factory inverter is not worth anything in my opinion so I didn't get it. I'm thinking about installing my own 500 watt pure sine Bestek inverter behind the rear seat. I don't really have to have it since I have power stations that will do the job instead but I may do it in the future.

Here's a video showing how to do it. I doubt that I would go to the trouble of replacing the rear console 12v power point with a 110v outlet since I use it to power my 12v fridge. Having a bed 110v outlet may come in handy though.

Anyone know if the inverter option is pure sine wave or modified? Since they don't specify which it's probably modified but you never know.
Which is cheaper to install, I would bet on that.

I wish you the best with that pacer! My brother had one, and I've had 3 heart surgeries to correct an arrhythmia and I now have a Watchman FLX II plugging my heart. No restrictions. But common sense says stay off my ladder....but I have gutters.

Pretty straightforward solution if you need mobile power that the factory inverter won't provide: portable power station. Something like Jackery, Bluetti, GoalZero, etc. Use the truck inverter to charge the power station and run all of your devices off of that - more power, more portable, and generally with pure sine inverters built in.

Pure sine wave inverters are sufficienty low cost these days that it makes you wonder why Ford cheaped out so much on the factory inverter. It goes against their whole “Power Pro” high quality power strategy for the other trucks.

i haven’t found the factory inverter yet, but it must be connectorized, so an aftermarket replacement should be practical.

You sure your math is correct? I would believe about half of that number, or 15A on the 12V side, allowing for an 80% conversion efficiency.

Thanks, my pacer is apparently a good one, I'd have to check and see what one. I have no pain and everything feels ok. Occasional balance issues but if I cut back on salt it clears up in few days. Wife couldn't drive for about 18 months suffering from Meniere's and had ultra low salt diet. Bad ratio of potassium and salt in inner ear = Dizzy. I have 4 stents and bundle blockage also type two diabetes. Agent Orange exposure. Wrote my front line Medic fanny off in Nam in 67-68, so every day since has been a bonus day. I
concentrated real hard and turned off the ability to visualize anything. I remember all things I have done but cannot "see the picture" in my mind. If my .maverick got totaled I could describe or write a list but not aided by "seeing it again" in my mind.= A blessing as well as a curse. In any case I will lookup your Watchman to see what you have, good luck to you also.

The factory inverter is located on the floor between the front seats under the console presumably to keep airspace around it clear for cooling.

I can see how that would cut both ways with the memory. Ain't no doubt you're not just a survivor, but a fighter. Thanks for what you did and for your service.
