Im still suprised how well it does. The maverick sits right at 2k rpm in cruise control compared to crosstrek that would scream at 4k plus to climb. I would also have to be traveling at mach 6 at the bottom to be going 50mph at the top of the hill. And forget about passing any semis...I literally live right at the foot of the Appalachian mountains separating NC and TN. My AWD Ecoboost laughs going over them. It doesn't even work hard. And I still average 28.6.
The Ecoboost has a cool split personality. Like a mullet. All quiet business demeanor with normal throttle inputs. But a bigtime party animal when you floor it.
The Subaru was definitely sure footed on icy days. I'm curious how the maverick will compare.
