That one part does come down into the bed about an inch, if you're concerned.

Ford didn't really give us a truck bed that's conducive to staying completely dry after a tonneau cover goes on, but I have figured out how to keep the vast amount of water out at the weak areas at the bulkhead and the seam on the bed cap.

Yep, people with full size trucks will get the maximum benefit, but focus groups showed that there were people with mid size and compact trucks who were interested as well.

Have any issues with sizing been corrected?
I have the hard rolling cover and had to add a spacer at the front of the rails (near the cab window) to make the arms line up correctly with the tailgate.

Not a bad idea. I'll suggest that.

Glad to see this upgrade. I'm always waiting for the cable latch to break. In fact, one of the cables did break and since it was still under warranty, Real Truck shipped a replacement. This seems like a much better system.

Quick update for everyone following the MX4 EZ-Lift launch:

We’ve been informed that the first shipment timing has moved slightly, and initial orders are now expected to begin shipping June 1.

Will a retrofit kit be available to upgrade the MX4 Gen 3 to an EZ Lift? I just purchased mine a couple of weeks ago, and now I wish I had waited (mainly for the new handles on the rear panel).

As of now, there aren't any plans to make these part available for individual purchase.
