Update: I reset the battery management system (BMS) and for a brief time the courtesy lights lit up when entering the vehicle. Unfortunately, as the member who gave me that tip warned, it didn't last long. Vehicle still goes into deep sleep very soon after shut down. I'll need to check the install of the auto dimming mirror next.
In the meantime, many thanks for those who offered their ideas and suggestions. Truly grateful.
Update #2: Browsing YouTube to see if anyone there solved the problem and ran across this regarding Ford vehicles going into deep sleep. According to the video producer, Ford is creating a software fix for the problem, but supposedly due out in Oct. 2022. I've seen nothing about this from Ford Inc. or their dealers. Can anyone validate?

Hybrid and Eco use different group size batteries but both are garbage made in china. I only recommended the BMS reset to quell your fears and show you that they were only inop due to the BMS removing them as a feature due to battery SOC issues. You need to either bring it to the dealer in which case they might replace the battery with the same piece of garbage (where you'll have the same issues again eventually) or replace it yourself, the only place I've seen that sells a replacement battery is NAPA but it's not AGM.

Came across a video by Sam Haymart (TestDriven TV on YouTube) regarding the grabby brake problem with the hybrid. While this isn't the thread for brake problems, the video led me to a post by a TRC member regarding the recalls by Ford on the Maverick. Seems Sam was able to get Ford to recognize the brake problem after being treated like crap from his dealer. But back to the topic here. One of the recalls involves a software update that might fix the deep sleep issue.

So, here's Sam's youtube on the braking system

And here is the post regarding the list of recalls.

I've not been successful finding a quality replacement battery for the Hybrid Maverick.

If you find one, make certain it has a vent to vent fumes to the outside like the Motorcraft battery..

Good luck...

.
My Miata has two vent stubs, you stick rubber tubes on there which vent to the fender. (battery is in the trunk).

Your comments make good sense and your point about the alternator made me ask myself, "does the Maverick even have an alternator, or is the 12v recharged from the lithium?"
The Hybrid does not have a "standalone" alternator- there are two electric motors in the powertrain, one generates electricity (for accessories and to charge the 12v) when the gas motor is running, the other generates power for the big battery when you're "braking"- it's pretty ingenious!

The electric motors don't directly have anything to do with charging the 12V system. That function is performed by a separate module, the DC-DC converter which steps down from the HV system to 12-15V. It's the vertical module next to the brake master cylinder and underhood junction box.

The very first thing that should be done in any electrical troubleshooting process by an engineer or technician is to actually check the voltage with a meter, its a ~60 second process and allows you to establish an actual baseline and not make assumptions on voltage. In the case of the Maverick Hybrid I suggest checking at the pins under the hood and the actual battery. If the voltage at the battery is much higher than the pins it likely suggests a high resistance in the cable (at the lug connection) which has proven to be problematic in some of our hybrids.

That said, this certainly smells like the battery (or) cable (or) programming issue some of us are experiencing with our hybrid Mavericks

Deep sleep can be triggered by low voltage, but the first step in troubleshooting is always to put eyes on the voltage to confirm.

Also, if you are running a Dashcam constantly while the truck is off you should have a backup battery for it and not be constantly drawing the (even small) load from the truck. I personally wouldn't even do that with my full-size diesel truck with twin (very large) batteries. Crutchfields etc. has a wide selection of dashcam backup batteries. While the backup batteries are relatively expensive, I choose to run all my dashcams with a Garmin OBD2 adaptor as I don't care about capturing video while out of my vehicles. ~$50, the power-on duration is selectable, I run in the 10-minute after power off mode on mine)

Good luck...

Thank you for the information and clarification! Automobile technology has made tremendous improvements in the last decade.

Well, it seems my courtesy light problem has been temporarily solved. After turning off the parking mode on my dashcam I have yet to have the problem. The lights come on as they should when I'm unlocking and entering the vehicle. The bigger issue is Ford re-configuring its BMS to allow the Maverick to sustain slight battery draw.

I honestly don't think it draws any power since it uses a switched wire. Most likely it's the dash cam or just the fact that the battery is utter garbage. Most new vehicles also have circuitry which allows the alternator to essentially turn off and not charge all the time since the alternator puts more load on the engine than you would probably imagine. This is in pursuit of more efficiency so manufacturers can eek out as much gas mileage as possible due to fleet standards. I don't know if this is the case with Ford but it's common practice among other manufacturers and I wouldn't be surprised if Ford is doing it as well. Add that to a trash made in China battery along with a dash cam and short to medium length trips and it's a recipe for deep sleep mode on the Ford.
You're right about the dash cam. It's the only added accessory I re-configured by turning off parking mode and now the courtesy lights work as designed. Nevertheless, Ford needs to adjust their battery management system.
