With stock wheels and tires I’ve never had rock chips on wheel openings, ever.

Whats the point of these?

If you've never had chips, great. I have so I put these on. I'm in snow country, salt on roads and chipped paint in wheel wells equals rust. Plan on keeping this long term. For less than $50, it's cheap insurance.

Received my truck last summer and wanted to protect the edges of the wheel well from rock chips. I found this gloss black wheel well molding for less than $50.
