Installed the tailgate decal from vinylimagination.com yesterday. Looks great and breaks up the solid colors! This is the matte black color option.

I like that graphic as the Maverick lettering remains bold. How hard to install since its bigger?

Do you still clear area with alcohol, then wet the area or decal before applying, etc?

Do you still have a short time to adjust so its on straight? I ask because on their website they offer optional application insurance.

If you use a spray bottle with water and a few drops of dish soap you'll have as much time as you need to make sure it's straight, Then carefully use a micro fiber cloth to push out any excess water while keeping it in place with your free hand to help make sure it stays in place

Wondering if they make a matching hood decal .Something that would cover the raised center part of the hood .​

Yes! That’s the exact method I used. It isn’t perfect due to the size but looks well enough

It was a two person install. Had to work from both sides to make everything line up. Did the same process as other decals, alcohol clean and soapy water.
The decal stuck quick even with the soapy water so I ended up having to pick up and replace a lot, not able to slide it around no matter how much water I used.

That's for the honest response on being a 2-person job. From enlarging your close-up pic it looks like you got it installed right. I really like it on your CO, and imagine it would look good on my HPR Mav, whenever I finally get it!

Check out their website. They show a variety of designs for the Mav's hood, cab and bed sides, etc. Most are larger graphics so I imagine they are a pain to get installed correctly...and maybe why they offer installation insurance for those of us that are all thumbs.

I would suggest removing tailgate and applying the decal with the tailgate laid horizontally across a couple of saw horses or similar.
