Wasn't talking about the start/stop dongle for the hybrid. You *do not need* it for the Hybrid.
First, for those who worry about your precious turbos, it’s not a turbo engine.
Second, for those who hate the delay it induces, there IS NO DELAY because the electric motor will get you moving *as it starts*.
Third, your accessories are basically electric anyway so it won’t need to start/stop cycle while stopped at a long light or whatever.
Fourth, your precious starter isn’t the same low voltage unit that non-hybrids have, it’s the electric motor that also *runs the truck* so it can handle PLENTY more cycles than a typical 12V ICE starter.
I do not like start/stop on normal ICE vehicles. Not because I’m worried it’s hard not he vehicle, I just don’t like the delay and it starting/stopping at lights. But in my hybrid Maverick I do not mind it one bit. I never even notice it. You literally have to *try* to listen for when it’s running or not most of the time.
