Ford Maverick Infinity Reference Review 28921B0D-C311-44AA-A444-A204FE7CACF4

Installed a set of THESE that I picked up on Black Friday for $82.95. I was reluctant to simply swap speakers because in the past the difference has been negligible without an aftermarket head unit or an amp. Well I took your advice and swapped these in today and WOW!! I did not expect such a difference but I am very happy with the difference.
It took roughly an hour to install using Crutchfield’s included adaptor rings and plug and play wiring adapters.
Very happy with my purchase and with crutchfield (as always).
Anyone on the fence. Just do it!!

Base OEM are pretty much garbage. Scale 1-10. how good is the improvement.

I'm assuming you don't have the B&O upgrade?

Can you tell me if the stock head unit reduces the bass to the speakers as you turn the volume up? Some are programed this way and require DSP to defeat...

Did you only replace the front door speakers? Might have to look into this and more when I get mine as I've been enjoying a lot of bass from a nice sub that'd be too big to fit in the Maverick :p

Just the front doors
Planning a small powered sub behind the rear seat but I fell much less if a rush to do that now

I have the clubman 6520 I like it it gives a nicer highs and more clear. As far as the thump you gain a few bass. My current settings 75% highs 30% mids and 40% lows. Definitely an improvement but you still need a good source of music. this weekend I will install lopro8 ssl for the subwoofer will tap the stereo and put it in the middle bench seat.

To revive a very old thread I installed these yesterday. Obviously the bass is clearly still lacking but the volume and clarity is so much better. I kept the stock tweeters. It does make you realize just how bad a kicker keys or something is needed. I definitely feel like the coaxial speakers are the way to go vs components only in this truck if you eventually add a sub especially considering the rears are garbage even if replaced. I would put the bass upgrade at about a 2 out of 10. Clarity and clean volume about a 7 out of 10.
