Hello all. Just wanted to share my new installation from yesterday...got a new illuminated grille oval installed at a local dealership. Here are some pics to see what it looks like during the day (albeit a cloudy/rainy one) and at night. What do you think? I really dig it, especially at night!

As you can see it's very bright at night(which again, I like!) So should I do something about the rest of the lights though to match? If so, upgrade the bulbs, etc.? What do you recommend...brands, etc.?

Thanks and keep on rocking with the Mavs out there!!!

This is the silliest thing that I might eventually do. They're dumb, but they're my kind of dumb.

“The signature squiggle (or "curlicue") on the "F" in the Ford logo is a stylized flourish from Henry Ford's personal handwriting. It traces back to the decorative Spencerian script popular in the early 20th century, which engineers used to draft the original wordmark in 1909.”

All good! So the emblem is $309 normally, but I had a 25% off code and got it for $232. I bought it from the official Ford website accessories page. Search for "illuminated emblem". Official dealership installation is normally $182 since they gotta take the front end apart to get to the emblem. I know, crazy...but I didn't want to attempt that myself! Luckily, I had Ford Rewards points from when I bought the truck a little over 2 weeks ago. Long story short, I finally got the whole deal installed for $292 total! Of course, YMMV. Good luck!!!

I ordered it in May, from the factory, with my 2026 Lariat AWD Hybrid. It was a $510 Option on the window sticker. It arrived in July, from the factory, with the truck, IN A BOX! I was told that it was a “dealer installed option” and it would cost me $910 to install it. I told them where they could install the logo. I showed them that I could order it from the Ford Accessories website for $309 and “Add Installation” for $182. After some angst the owner stepped in and I got it, installed, for a total of $494.44. I really like it and am glad that I continued to press them on it.
