I have zero patience or sympathy to persons in the USA who say "they have no way to charge an EV".

Because they are lying.

If a village of 45 people in the high mountains of Nepal can charge their big EV vans, so can you.

Be an adult. Admit you are just lazy and don't want to.
Found these photos on Google Earth researching today's flash flood over there.

Gas but not a charger insight.

Maybe it's because of this.
EV Adoption so far in 2026 has Europe hitting ~21% market share vs US at only~6%, that's great for Europe. We aren't Europe. For those who like the way Europe does stuff. That's great they'll welcome you with open arms.

I see a dozen potential opportunities in the background of your photos. If you lived there; or owned the business there, you could charge there.

Hell, it's an RV campground. That means you even have FASTish charging available. (30 Amp or 50 Amp)

I fly into Boise Idaho occasionally. They've cooled their EV Outlook. Not to mention Wyoming and Montana.

I guess we're not Europeans 😲
I'll let Europeans do what they want to do.
I'm not the only one that feels this way about EV's. Honda won't be selling any in the United States.

FYI your Bear Valley RV park has

30 amp sites and 50 amp sites
"to accommodate any size rig".

Welcomes the following for non-registered guests:

One time use of showers $5
One time rig water fill $5
One time sewer dump $10

One time EV charge (neither advertised nor prohibited) but I'll bet if space was available and you said "hey I'll give you $20 for an hour of plug time) they would do it for you.

Sticky situation if 100% of camp sites are occupied. But if ENOUGH people ask, the camp owner would be incentivized to put a charging station up front just for recharging. For a fee.
Metered "vending machine" charging stations are nice, but costly to install.
Just paying a flat rate per hour is just as good, and agreeable to most people especially with few other options.

My point is: charging INFRASTRUCTURE is everywhere you can find gas. You just gotta look. And sometimes you just gotta ask.

I know what they have. I was there.
Just not a priority out here, until you get to the coastal States.🙄🙄

I don't want to charge an EV. I'm not lazy, there are just other options that work better for me.
Amen 👍🏻

My local Costco has 24 gas pumps. 0 charging stations. If there was money in it, and members screaming to have EV chargers Costco would be in on the money maker. But it is a money loser. Without the Government subsidizing this money loser, like wind power, it does not get built. ☮

My local AAA installed them for their employees and members. I don't remember the cost to install them but it was a money pit. Plus there was a substantial cost to pay for the power line from the pole to the transformer that had to be installed to handle expected demand.

But you'll have to admit the infrastructure is there to make EV charging possible at the drop of a hat.
I see Shell gasoline stations with 2 or 4 charging ports.

80% of vehicles in Nepal are motorized scooters. Electric scooters are on the rise - but ICE scooters still make up over 90% of the scooters.

The EV scooters are supported by a growing number of public charging stations - but most are charged up from home electricity.

This post is not about that. (Wants)

It's about possible vs. impossible.
OK, somehow I must have misunderstood. The topic is, "If they can do it, you can do it"

Be an adult. Admit you are just lazy and don't want to.
I can do it, I agree with that part. I admit I don't want to do it. I just want to point out that doesn't make me lazy as you're implying.

I've heard that kids using dilapidated drones that are barely flying. Will take them out there and fly them into the rays and watch them explode or catch on fire.
Typical green energy project. Turns out not so green. In fact, not green at all. I was a life member of The Nature Conservancy for about 30 years and quit several years ago when they started promoting wind farms. There is a giant wind farm in northeast Oregon, at the time of construction it was the biggest in the world. All the money from the sale of the electricity goes to the New York company that built it and received millions in tax breaks. And get this, all the electricity goes to California! Oregon gets the eye sore, the noise, and the 1000's of dead birds and bats. And even the wildlife living near the noise moves away. But Hollywood can talk about charging their green EV's with green energy from wind power. ☮
