Almost ordered day 1, but decided on a Bronco Sport instead.
Been following this forum almost since Maverick announced. Had three vehicles one driver, Insurances rates increasing, started looking at Mavericks again.
One of my "kind of" local dealers website showed 17 in stock. Almost all were "green stickers". Went to see one that was close to what I was interested in, sales guy said all green stickers were "abandoned or walk away" orders some that had been ordered a year or more. I was able to get one at x-plan price that helped a bit.
Brought this one home. Only had it a week with 320 miles. So far paint & fit/finish is very good, interior is good but has a "non-metallic" rattle now in the headliner & then over the front pas seat depending on road surface. Quite impressed with the 42MPG already.

I love my Hybrid, but it has rattles that are driving me crazy. They come & go and magically disappear when I've taken it to the dealer - at least they claim they don't hear them. Good luck getting your rattles fixed.

I'm impressed with the mileage, and I have not had any of the other issues that have plagued some Maverick owners on this forum - some issues that are major. I am just disappointed with the poor quality that has led to very annoying rattles; to the point that I'm considering dumping it for something else. Just not sure what I will end up doing.

Others on here say if this was a Toyota, it wouldn't have quality problems. In the past I would've believed them. But not now. My brother has a new Avalon with rattles as bad as my Maverick. And the check engine light keeps coming back on for various things. Vehicles are too complicated now and suffer from too many problems that dealers can't or won't fix.

Welcome! Nice truck. That's my new favorite color. Wish they had it when I ordered my Tremor. Congrats, hope you sort out the rattles :like:
I love the pic of the old Maverick. My great grandfather drove one of those back in the 70s. He was born in 1892 and that was his last car. I can still see him driving it at 10 mph all over town.
Here's a shot of my Mav. She only gets 25 mpg, but I'm okay with that.

My wife had the same car when I met her. Still married to her after all these years. I miss that car! Fun to drive and easy to work on.

You've been posting here for some time, so I always assumed you had a Maverick. Well, technically you did, but I'm talking about the truck. You'll finally experience first hand why we're all here loving the Maverick while trying to solve some its annoyances. Kind of like life itself.

Welcome! The classic Mavs were really awesome cars. I wonder if the new Mavericks popularity will have more people bringing back the classics for ecoboost swaps and EV builds. Light cars with easy suspension and chassis upgrades.

Too bad the 1970 Maverick didn’t last as long as our marriage. We passed #52 last January.

If the rattle is from the front... check the plastic cover over your radiator where it comes up to your hood. Mine was loose from day one and strong bumps can cause it to rattle. It's a hard plastic on metal rattle. The clips are loose. Also, the rear wheel wells have no protection from dirt/rocks/etc so strong bumps can cause things to bounce against them. You might hear that from the rear.

inside, I haven't experienced it, but some have said doors/seats rattle. But mine never has. Things behind or under your rear seat will move A LOT as well. So, your snowbrush that you stow under the rear seat like mine does... might be bouncing all over on bumps.

Congrats on the new maverick. They are handy for people who want a smaller, more efficient vehicles that make good daily drivers while retaining the utility of a truck. It still surprises me that the category isn't more popular.

Hey Roger.

Congratulations on snagging your new Maverick. Love the pics of your "original" one!

Now that you have it, perhaps one of your next planned mods is to add a Maverick Truck Club decal so you can properly “represent.”

Two styles/sizes available:

Maverick Truck Club Decal (Glossy) | MaverickTruckClub - 2022+ Ford Maverick Pickup Forum, News, Owners, Discussions ($5 delivered)

Maverick Truck Club Decal (Transfer) | MaverickTruckClub - 2022+ Ford Maverick Pickup Forum, News, Owners, Discussions ($6 delivered)
