I have tried to find a new Maverick truck or at least a lightly used one. Day after day I reached out to dealers who supposedly have them for sale only to find out they already have been sold. When I did find one available they were asking $5k to $10k over MSRP. Since I have joined this forum I’ve learned that I must be patient and wait for the order banks to open in July. Then wait 4 to 8 months to get it. I’m tired and frustrated. I gave up and ordered a Toyota Tacoma, it will be here in 2 to 4 weeks. Not only that but I got $3,200 off MSRP. I also got what I wanted for a very competitive price compared to the Maverick. Good luck to the rest of willing to put up with the BS dealerships and Ford are doing to you.

Good decision. I love my Maverick and have another one on order that most likely won't get built. It is a nice little truck but certainly not worth stressing out over. The Tacoma is a nice truck that holds its value well. Good luck with it.

I've been there. I am one of the lucky ones. I ordered on the first day for 2023 my dealer didn't, but I am getting built by some miracle. I understand your frustration. I did start looking and every freaking dealer with 25 miles of my on Atlanta area was adding a $5-$10k mark up. I wound up looking anywhere within a day's drive and found several but most didn't have the features I wanted.

Yes, I did take that into account. It was one of the considerations.
:) I'm sure, just jokin around. I've said for a while now if I was made of money I'd buy a Taco. But I'm not, so here we are

Congradulations. I wish I could bring myself to do that.
Good seeing someone satisified.
And I got a good laugh out of the "4 to 8 months".

When "ordering" a Tacoma- That just means you let a dealer know what specific options/trim you are looking for and they try to find it but usually its of a wrong color and or missing options kind of thing ?

That's been my experience with Toyota dealers on other models yeah.

You wanted the most in demand vehicle, you wanted it instantly, and for a discounted price like they were sitting on dealer's lots unable to be sold.
Glad you went with taco so we wouldn't have to listen to months of your moaning and groaning.

Wow don't see how that's a win. You got the old V6 that is under powered and a gas guzzler with a gear hunting transmission when the new Taco just launched... I don't know if that's a deal. Unless you needed a truck now waiting until the new Tacoma is a available in a few months would have been better for you as you would be sure to get a truck and maybe your Maverick would be built by then. What about the new Frontier? Brother has the pro 4x and it's a very nice truck with the only NA V6 that's worth anything left on the market. But hey as long as your happy.
