I get the same sorta attention on my KTM Adventure. I dunno. Doesn't bother me much but I do have to be mindful where I get stupid on the throttle since the bike is easy identifiable and I don't want some angry road rager hunting me down.

Can't say I've seen people stare at me or the truck as I'm driving as I'm not paying attention to them but I sure can say I get asked about it quite a bit at gas stations and parking lots. I'm happy to tell them all about it, show them the inside. All say it's bigger than they thought. They love the car feathers and the truck ability. When I tell them the real MPG I'm getting, they are just shocked. Almost all have said they want to order one when the order banks open.

Ive had my maverick for three months now and oddly enough today was the first day someone asked me about the truck. It was pretty cool. The guy seemed pretty excited.

I’m putting a bumper sticker on mine saying, “Ask Me About My Truck.”

Prior to getting my Mav I'd seen exactly three others out in the wild. Since I took delivery a few weeks ago I haven't seen any at all, which is kinda weird. But anyway, it makes me slightly uncomfortable that I'm driving such an uncommon vehicle around. All the time I see people staring and pointing, and I'm glad there's interest in this truck but it makes me feel pretty weird. I really can't wait for more Mavericks to hit the road so I don't feel like the alien species under the microscope. Am I the only one who doesn't like the attention? I'm happy to talk with anyone who approaches me with questions, but the attention from other drivers is a strange feeling.

Just last night, I was on the way to the Tampa airport to pickup a brother in law and a Honda pulled up next to me popping off his bypass, wanting to race, LOL he was nothing. Then at the airport 3 people stopped with their bags and all wanting to talk about the Maverick and it's reviews. It was fun, I hope this TRUCK doesn't make me a RICER!

All the folks looking and inquiring Are intrigued... My neighbor asked me what I paid for my lariat eco ,awd 360, hitch ,outlet.. when I told him less than 32K out the door tax license etc (I paid MSRP). He took a quick test drive in mine and called my sales guy and said to him ,get me on the cancelled order list and I will slip you 2k in cash to get me a truck you cant buy nothing for that money. that's the draw hopefully Ford does not raise the prices dramatically, you can rest assured they are watching the ADM market and saying to themselves we are way too cheap...

To be honest, I kinda like the attention. I thought I didn't at first but it's kinda nice to drive a vehicle that's not that common. It makes me feel a little more special (not trying to sound self-absorbed there by any means) I went from driving the most common and best-selling humdrum pickup ever (Tacoma) to now a very uncommon unicorn pickup (Maverick) Most of the time it's people gawking at it when the drive by or looking at it in a parking lot either not knowing what it is or knowing what it is but just haven't seen one in person yet. For example, I was at my Target four days ago and a couple approached me that parked two spaces over and were staring at it as I approached and were complimenting it. He said that his sister ordered one and absolutely adores it. Those are the conversations I love having. When they know what it is and appreciate me driving it and want take a look at it, that's when it's fun. And I've noticed recently that the attention has kinda dwindled. Every so often I'll get a stare but now I'm starting to blend in even though I'm guaranteed to be the only Maverick in every parking lot I go to still.

If they are looking no matter what you are driving maybe they are not attracted to what you are driving maybe what you are or are not wearing?

Had parked for carry-out and a gentleman approached clearly excited that I was driving a Maverick . He was from Canada, had one on order yet had only seen one on the road. I stepped out and told him to help himself. Because he had watched all the videos, he knew where everything was. He was delighted and it felt great to make his day.
