Who would have a mini TRUCK would have the same HYPE as a 64 Mustang. BTY, I'm 72 and really enjoying my 2.0 AWD with the tow package lower gear ratio. "Makes you feel like a kid again" should be a SALES slogan for the Maverick.

I get excited when I get on this forum, just to hear how excited I will be when I finally get a scheduled build date!
Ditto!

I am 64 and have owned over a hundred cars in my life, most brand new and some very expensive vehicles. Here I catch myself (with a $30k mini-truck), going outside to just look at my Maverick! At night, I open the door just to have the interior lights on to gawk! I am in love with this thing, it is the perfect vehicle for me!
Every time I go somewhere, I get approached to ask about how I like it!
This is a BIG HIT for Ford!
That’s a lot of cars to have owned! I’m 57 and can almost count my vehicles owned on two hands. I do enjoy the maverick as well. Like my little crx in fun factor

I have the same feeling I did when I bought my first car, a '77 Camaro. (which I still own)

I have had my XLT for only a couple weeks, and happened upon it by chance. I had been interested in the Maverick since they revealed it, but I figured it was out of my reach. I still had a good running Escape Titanium so I figured a few more years. Well... the Escape started having some issues, first it was a bad waste gate on the turbo, followed by Cat. codes. So we decided to trade it in for something. Tried for a while to find a Maverick but came up very short. I was just about to go test drive a few Jeeps and newer escapes. At my Sons birthday, my Wifes cousin pulled out her phone, and saw a '22 Maverick XLT in Area 51 grey about 50 miles from me. I called, they said it was still available, and the best part, it was not priced as if it were coated in gold! It was ordered at that dealership, and the person that ordered it traded it in with 11k miles. Almost walked out 3 times during the negotiations, but we landed a solid deal. Still hard for me to grasp that I actually got the vehicle I REALLY wanted.

Feel a little bad that I managed to snag one before all these orders still waiting to be build. But I love the damn thing! :)
