I’m getting more discouraged about my order

I just read that there is a shortage of Blue Oval and model badges.
it is because the co. Making them dumped chemical down the drain and got caught.

Not a problem for me, leave the blue oval off mine if that gets it to me sooner.

Ford was open for orders for such a short time I would guess most of them can be filled. But all most none of them before Christmas, If they start building in mid November and they all need to be shipped by train (4 weeks) and then transferred to be shipped by truck (2 weeks) Then it will be Jan before anyone gets a 2023.

This forum has provided more accurate information than my dealer or Ford on my past and current order. Thanks to all those in the know who do contribute.

I agree but who would have known of the 2023 order open and closing dates if it was not for the forum? I would have missed the opportunity to order my 2023 Hybrid if I had not been following the forum.

Just sit and wait!!!! I ordered my Maverick last year on Nov. 1st, 2022.
It is still not build yet.The estimated build date is the week of October 17th. It has moved around 5 different dates.
I have had my VIN number since August 4th. I have had a total of 3 email communications form Ford on my order.

It also wouldn't surprise me if a lot of the negative posts are just from competing brands trying to reduce faith in Ford.

You see that on various message boards. Certainly see it on sports teams boards. Losers pretending to be a fan of a team, but negative on everything from coaches to players to amount of salt on pretzels at the game.

Reading the horror stories of allocation are making me a bit discouraged. I know they were calling Tim at long mcarthur papa and Santa clause is this because he is the only one getting a large amount of allocation and will possibly deliver by Christmas? Either way I really was hoping to get my hands on the new maverick it really is a huge bummer.

does anyone have any good news to lift my spirits?? I have to call my dealer tomorrow and bug him what are some good questions to ask?

If you're building a Maverick you shouldn't need it right away... If you need a car or truck fast this isn't the way to go. I built mine with the mindset of 1 year until I might get it, and if anything goes wrong with my current car I'm not in a binding contract with Ford so I can walk at any moment if necessary.

Close the forum and relax. Its out of our hands so not worth stressing.

I found out this morning that my dealer has 90 MY22 Mav order's that are rolling over to MY23. I have (2) orders in with this dealership and both are priority 15. I'm not sure how many overall orders they placed for MY23 Mav's or what their allocation is but 90 rollovers doesn't sound great

I have placed my order! And I even finally got a confirmation emailed to me. I got an cl hybrid with trailer hitch plug on the inside and rubber floor mats that’s it. Not sure if any of those are constrained

When I ordered I had one constraint, CP360. Based on Ford's list I did not have any others. My dealership did send an email with additional information:

There are some commodities that there are shortages of, I think we did a good job of informing customers of these as they were placing orders but I wanted to list the ones that are the most scarce and likely to hold up a build regardless of the order it was placed.

• Tremor Appearance Package
• Tonneau Cover (Hard)
• Bed Extender
• Bed Tray
• Bed Mat Divider
• Load Box Edge Protector
• Splash Guards
• Protective Film

This doesn't mean that you won't get your truck, it just means that it will take longer if these items are a part of the order. If any of these apply to your build and you need clarification, please reach out.

So, other than CP360, I feel okay. Most of the other items I can add later.

About all you can do now is sit back and wait! I would remove the mats and ask the dealer what priority code it is at. But, that's just me, the priority code means very little without knowing the codes of other orders at that dealership. Relax!!

Any idea if the rubber floor mats are a constrained item? Don’t recall seeing it on the constrained items list. Just curious because if it is, it’s definitely something I can live without and would remove it.

They were for MY22! You can get those same ones through the Dealer.

True! They considered 3-D printing them, but decided those were not up to quality.

You might as well call them and get the scoop on their allocations.

I ordered my 23 Mov from my local dealer; details in my signature block below. Based on the size of their lot and the number of vehicles on it, I would have considered them a medium to large size dealer, but in terms of Mavericks they are very very small.

I visited with the sales manager yesterday, and he tells me they had only 30 Maverick orders, and 14 allocations. He said their Hybrid / Ecoboost order split was 60:40; almost the opposite of Ford's production plan of 35:65 Hybrid / Ecoboost.

Of course he tried to blow sunshine up my skirt by saying he thought I have a really good chance of getting mine built. We'll see about that..... Hopefully they will be able to earn extra allocations to get most if not all their orders built.
