Hybrid thoughts by Jack Handey....
I’d think it would be funny to see an EcoBoost Maverick broken down on the side of the road, but then my distraction causes me to rear-end the dump truck in front of me.

Absolutely, but I suspect people will have some complaints about the pricetag, if the other phevs on the market are any indictor.

They should look into a PHEV Maverick

Run in battery for like 20 miles or more

Car & Driver's 0-60 time* in the hybrid awd is exactly the same as my Mini Roadster S. Not truly quick by modern standards, but enough to enjoy it.

*-very few people seem capable of reproducing their figures, for reasons I could only guess at.

Not saying the hybrid Sport mode is = to the EB...but it's mighty frisky....

At 60mph it should get around 45mpg, and at 50mph it will get almost 55mpg. It is not a great idea to pick high-speed highways with a vehicle like a truck, that has the aerodynamics of a brick.
Not sure what the mpg would be at high speed but mine I am happy with

FWD, AWD, or AWD 4K tow?
Those numbers look 2 or3 mpg better that my 25XL 4Ktow might do! I have yet to take a long hiway trip.

The AWD option gets 2-3mpg less due to increased weight and rotating drag. The 4k option changes the gearing to optimize for towing instead of efficiency. I'd bet that the combination is maybe 7-8mpg less efficient.

I have averaged right at 45mpg for the last year/20k miles with my hybrid. Probably 60/40 city/highway driving. I don't try to "hypermile" much, and on the 500 miles drive days to Oregon will go 70-80mph most of the way, traffic allowing. That drops it down to about 38-40mpg for those trips.

What I've noticed is that if I have some weight in the back and cab, the mpg drops 5-10mpg. Maybe the ecoboost stays the same regardless of extra weight. By "some weight" I mean 300-1000lbs.

Its AWD and 4k towing
I think that is excellent for 4K Tow with only 2600 miles!
My 2025XL's drivetrain didn't feel broken-in until about 4,000 miles. YMMV.

Cool looking 85-86 Mustang in Your avatar!! What's the specs on that?
It is a 80 mustang Ghia that I added the 85 parts to because I did not like the look of an 80. Mild build 331, 8.8 with 373 rear, C4 trans, Team Z k member, 8" 4200 stall, air gap intake, 1 5/8 headers, Holley750 annular dbl pump, junk China heads I spent a month cleaning up, street car drove to track ran low 11s and drove home. Car never broke, best mph 121, best ET 11.01, best 60' 1.49. Car is now in Oregon with new owner running 10.50`s he added nitrous 50 shot I think. It was a fun car for such a mild build

Looks nice, is it 385 series or windsor stroker
385 Series 466 ci!! I only Had it to the track twice maybe 6 passes on it when it ran the 11.27@122 mph!! I changed to a Dominator Carb that made a big difference in Power but haven't had it too the track with the Dominator on it yet!! I actually haven't raced it since 2012!! But it runs and drives and I drive it on the street when I have time and the Weather is Nice!!
