Just chiming in to add my voice and confirm that the hybrid tows well. I’m currently camping in Acadia National Park having towed my Flagstaff 206ltd across NY, MA, and ME to get here. It towed no problem! I added a brake controller which also works great. The camper weighs in at about 1600 pounds dry

Don't forget about the 17 miles of New Hampshire! Guess it towed so well, you cruised right through. Spent a few years there, it too, is worth a visit. But nothing like Acadia.
Glad to hear the FWD hybrid has done so well, have not ruled out doing something similar.

Acadia and Bar harbor are beautiful. the entire Maine coast are too I may be biased living in NH... ;-). BoothBay harbor is also nice and a bit less crowded than Bar Harbor. Enjoy the trip.

I agree fully with you, I think it all has gotten too crowded. Just don't take for granted what's under your nose, the NH Seacoast has much to offer if you can get past all the people. Not so much in the middle of the Summer. My folks lived in Sanford Me area and I graduated UNH many, many moons ago.

Yep, capturing the important details! 🤣
Side topic: why is that in all the videos where some guy camps out with a tarp tent, or builds a hut with hand tools or does some other video-worthy undertaking, they have a segment where they cook up a dinner?

I'm not complaining, but seems to be part of the formula.

I don’t know about the guys in the videos but I love cooking over a campfire when I’m camping. It requires a different set of skills that aren’t needed in today’s kitchen. There’s something primal to it that I enjoy.

And, because this is a Maverick forum, here’s mine at the ocean this afternoon. We stopped and had a picnic lunch on the Atlantic.
