Hybrid order?

I haven't paid much attention to the ford Maverick but when looking at my local dealers website they had them for order I ordered a 2022 XL hybrid and they submitted the build order Friday then I found out the cutoff was January 27?
I will talk to my sales person Monday probably but I am confused how I got an order in? Is this dealership doing some funny business? Any one have any wisdom to bestow upon me regarding this?

You can do the online build. But the dealer will not be able to submit them into Ford's order system and get confirmation.

Order cut-off date for any and all hybrids was mid-November.

January 27 date was cut-off for Ecoboost orders.

Unless changed during the interim, orders for '23 hybrids open up mddle of this coming August.

Yeah Ford stopped taking orders for the hybrid back in mid-November. It can be confusing if you haven't followed things closely, but building what you want on the website doesn't actually place an order. The dealer has to do that and they can't place any orders for a 22 at this point. Maybe you can find one that another customer ordered but decided not to take. Or you can order a 23 in August.

Like others have said you can’t order one. Model year 22 is sold out. The dealer is likely not informed and confused. Ford will decline your order. You can order again in Mid August for a 23 model year. I would try a different dealer that is knowledgeable about the situation. Verify pricing, get a buyers order signed by the dealer when you place your order.

We tried to order a hybrid in Oct and dealer told us not too, it was close to cut off. We switched to EB when we ordered.

Usually ford sends an email to you confirming order.

Depending on how far you are willing to drive, start calling every dealer you can find and ask them to put you on a list if they get some and customers have changed their minds. Depending on the dealer, you may or may not have to pay a dealer markup (ADM). I have seen some dealers have a mark up as high as $15,000. Here is one with a markup—

That isn't an order, that is letting the dealer know you are interested in one, I'm surprised the dealer hasn't called you.

They did, they asked what trim I wanted I said base model no particular options with hybrid. Dealer said we will write up a build order and email it to you. They sent me the build order I attached I signed it sent it back and they texted me saying they submitted the order and that Ford told them it would be towards the end of the year.
