The only saving grace (if there is any) is that we've heard the production numbers split of 40/60. Of the 40% that are hybrids being produce, 100% of those are initially going to fulfill customer orders. Whereas of the 60% of Ecoboost being produced, those are being split between customer orders and stock for dealerships. Can't remember where I heard/read that tho....

Why wouldn't a dealership put in the orders in at 10's? What do they have to lose or gain? from letting the orders default to a 19?

Probably so that their orderers can't ask for better priority. If you do someone at 19, then people that understand how the system works would then likely ask to upgrade to something lower (which is better) than 19. Some dealers do 11 as their default, and then long-time customers get upgraded to 10, etc. Gives that dealer flexibility

Placed my order on 07/12, I'm hoping to get some good news this week, but I'm not optimistic.
My plan is to hold out until I can get my Mav, but like most of us, I can only be so patient.

Check with your salesman. I got a confirmation email on June 15. Apparently I was scheduled for the week of September 13, but never got a production email. Hot pepper red hybrid XLT lux with sunroof and floor mats.
