I would love to meet up and see the hybrid in person, how did you get your hybrid so fast? I ordered mine on 7/14/2021....hmm... As for the low MPG...yes, PNW is rough in the winter, bad gas, lots of elevation change, and cold weather...I bet you will be 8-10mpg better in spring.
I got extremely lucky with mine I ordered on the first of September and recieved it right before Christmas.
I was told I was the first hybrid in the surrounding counties and possibly in Washington. I guess my choices of options and timing was just spot on.

Coming out that quick... You sure you have a hybrid? Seems more in line of mpg of an eco..
Haha well I'd sure hope it was a hybrid considering the badge that's on it and the hybrid battery underneath the car .

I'm in the Pacific North West,Washington .
As of right now it's about 70% City driving and 30% Highway .
Yep stock Continental tires.

I've spent about 165$ on gas and it takes roughly 45$ to fuel up full tank. Considering in supposed to be getting roughly 500 miles a tank and I've filled up 3.67 tanks which equates to 1835 miles of driving , I'm only at 1180 miles with a bit more then half a tank of gas left. So maybe 300 Miles before empty that brings me to 1480 Miles. I'm still missing like 300 miles.
Have you hand calculated the actual mileage?

"hybrid battery in the engine bay."? The hybrid does not have a battery in the engine bay. It is located under the rear seat for the 12 V. battery. Did the factory put a hybrid label on it when it should not have done so?

my fusion hybrid is best 50-60 degrees at 30-50mph. easily 45mpg.

if its below freezing its closer to 30-35mpg. if its above 80 degrees 35-40mpg.

temperature is a huge factor on both battery but also AC (electric only) and heater(electric and engine).

I am seeing 43 MPG on my Hybrid Lariat. I am in Southern California and weather has been typical 60s lately when driving. I had a Ford C-Max Hybrid before this was was seeing 41.8 MPG.

No issues with entertainment but only using Appleplay. The drive mode resetting when turning the car off is annoying and dumb. Hope a software update fixes that.

Maybe someone can get a survey going to look at MPG by geographic location to see temperature impact on Hybrid performance?

Winter may have something to do with it, what region are you in? What percent city vs highway, how fast do you go on average on highway? Are you doing a lot of short trips? Stock tires?

Also the mpg computer estimate can be way off. Are you recording your mileage and gas tank refills to get the “true” value?
Yeah, in my IONIQ hybrid, running the heat on high temp with the fan on high makes the gas engine run more often. Running the gas engine eats away at the mpg. 30.8 is awfully low, so I’m not sure this, alone, explains it.

Driving in a hilly/mountainous area would affect the mpg too. When driving to Knoxville, we get far lower mpg than driving to Nashville because of the hill on the Knoxville route.

I’d say those two things could get close to explaining the lower than average mpg.

I think you could get 30ish MPG with the heat cranked in cold weather. It's been hovering around 0F here for the last week. I've noticed with the thermostat set to 68F it's almost impossible to engage electric mode, and I get low-mid 30s mpg. If I set it at 60F I can get over 40 mpg. I just got 42mpg over a 13.5 mile trip in 1F ambient temp. Good thing I like a cold cabin in the winter.

I just filled up for the 1st time. mileage divided by gallons pumped (not over pumped) turned out to be 39.7 mpg same as what the computer on my truck says 39.7 mpg. That's somewhere around half highway half town. For the 1st quarter of a tank it was left in normal, the other 2 quarters were in eco mode. I filled up with about a quarter of a tank left because I was at Costco. Filled with 87 octane gas. I'm pretty impressed because I was driving normal. Temperatures were between low 20's and low 40's. I'm keeping the inside temperature between 65 and 68. ;) Better than my 2016 Focus with a lot more room and a lot more utility!! 427 miles traveled.

First of all I'm in love with my XLT Hybrid Ford Maverick especially the interior with the orange Accents.

However i have two major concerns .
My hybrid is only getting around 30.8 mpg when I drive which is far below the promised 42 or even the 33 with just highway driving .

When first getting a vehicle you need to "break it in" meaning drive it with ease which I've been doing so I don't understand why I'm not hitting anywhere near the expected mpg. Currently the mileage is at 1180 miles.

The second issue is the infotainment system is extremely annoying , it continually disconnects my Bluetooth connection in the middle of a call or when I'm listening to music and the display just keeps glitching.

I know I said two things but theres one other thing that bothers me , why not allow the car to be in the mode previously selected ?? I always have to switch to eco mode every time I start the car , why not just select it and allow it to continually stay in that drive mode??

I'm Curious if anyone else has had these issues aswell and what have you done with them?
I wouldn’t describe the on board mileage computer as definitive empirical data …
I really don’t think it’s fair to say, or decisively accurate your mpg is low… if you haven’t done a few trips will you go by hand calculations and gallons displaced during trip!!

If you drive a lot up hill and do lots of short trips, this seem to be about right. I get best mpg on the freeway and worse in the city when I do my short trips up hill. You will see, when you take some longer freeway trips and don't necessarily go over 90 miles/hour your mpg will adjust accordingly.

Send me a VIN, I can run the window sticker from it and know exactly which engine and options you have, is your "hybrid" 4wd?

Wow, that is very low mileage. Haven't seen anyone reporting it that low. Bummer for you. Regarding the infotainment system, mine is just working fine. And as far as the mode selection, I agree with you. I think the vast majority of the people drive it in the ECO mode, so why not make that the automatic default mode when you start the engine. I know many times I forget to change it to ECO mode resulting in several miles being driven before I remember to change it.
