Hybrid Maverick Towing Teardrop Camper

I have a Tacoma that I am looking to trade in for a Maverick Hybrid. The only part I'm questioning is I own a teardrop camper that weighs roughly 1,650 lbs. I tow it 5-10 times per year. I live in Utah so there are definitely some steeper roads. I don't expect it to pull it like nothing is behind it, I just want to be able to safely tow the camper without damaging the vehicles. Does anyone have any experience towing with their hybrid?
