I just got my Hybrid Maverick. I noticed that when I am going down hill, and take my foot of the accelerator, the truck seems to be slowing down and regenerating energy into the battery.

Is there any way to turn this off, so that when I take my foot off the accelerator the truck just coasts? I would much prefer to only have the truck slow down and regen the battery when I use the brake pedal.

Slippery mode will have the least amount of regen.

It might maintain speed with the cruise control on.

Where I live there are lots of hills and I actually like how the truck is held back from coasting. I don't think I will ever have to replace the brakes!
You may go over 100k before you need brake pads. Possibly 200k.
(Unless you figure out how to do what OP wants).

Just use a light foot on the throttle. You won't be using much fuel and you won't have to mess around with the modes when you're off the hills

Kind of fun having to keep your foot on the gas to maintain speed going downhill instead of using the brake pedal.

It might maintain speed with the cruise control on.
This was my experience about a month ago, the first time I took a long trip on hilly roads. It was like it used just enough regenerative breaking to keep it at the set cruise control speed. I really liked that especially the couple of times I passed a cop sitting near the bottom of some of the hills.

On a slightly funny related note, during that same trip a guy in a giant truck went flying past me at probably 15-20mph over the speed limit. I don't remember the exact timings but it seemed like about 10 minutes later I saw him pulled over by highway patrol. Fast forward another 20ish minutes and I'm pretty sure it was that same truck passing me again, though not quite as fast. And about 15 minutes after that, (again, pretty sure) that same truck was pulled over again.

So I'm totally on board with the regenerative breaking keeping my (cruise control) speeds in check when going downhill. On long trips it's easy to get a little lax and find yourself going a little too fast going down longer / steeper hills.
