I don't doubt Ford is trying to improve Hybrid parts volumes so they can build more, and I think/hope the 3rd shift added to the Maverick line is an indication they HAVE improved commodity availability for both Hybrid and Eco's.
Knowing Ford they'll just move from two 12 hour shifts, to three 8 hour shifts and then wonder why there was no increase in production output...

Does anyone know what specifically is the constraint is on the Hybrids? If it’s the battery then I don’t understand how Tesla can build over a million fully electric vehicles and Ford has issues with a few thousand with a much smaller battery.
Don’t look at me for an answer, I ordered in November 2021 and don’t have a VIN or any type of email from Ford. I hope that I don’t get pushed into 24.

You probably won't get pushed on a hybrid you will just get cancelled- and you will have to decide if you want to put in a new order.

Bodies are sitting in Austin awaiting packs from freemont. They have been getting the new pack line built since October. At this point the parts needed to start production are trim and packs afaik.
I think what you are referring to is the "spy" photo of wrapped bodies in the factory. These are likely bodies that were produced as part of tooling Gigapress and ensuring line efficiency.

They have not begun production on the Cybertruck yet and again - batteries are not a constraint for Tesla - even with the switch from 2170 to 4680 - and they have stated this numerous times.

Dang. If you haven't received at least an email since Nov 2021 from Ford you probably need to check with your dealer. They may have screwed your order up and you may not even have a valid order with Ford. Something not right IMO.

I have a printout from the dealership and everything is correct. I am priority 10. I wish Ford would at least give me the courtesy of an (sorry it is taking so long to get your vehicle) email.

If that statement is true, then why hasn’t Ford built my hybrid Lariat w/lux, both CP’s, and BAP. MSRP is $36,600. That is considered a higher profit vehicle at that price, isn’t it?
He probably means F-150 and Lincoln hybrids. I'm in the same boat as you, Lariat Lux Hybrid.

Thank you my friend. I don’t want to talk down the brand but I am a little disappointed that if they scheduled me this week it would mean that I would have waited 17 months to get delivery of this vehicle.

If you have a Ford account that uses the same email address, log into it and make sure you aren't set to not receive email notifications. That will stop all emails from Ford, even if you have an order.

Thank you for the advice. I have the FordPass app and receive emails through it but I don’t have a VIN number to add the vehicle. I am in touch with the dealer and they have not received a change of status for this vehicle. I was hoping Ford would just have the courtesy to send me something saying thank you for your patience. I have emailed Ford and received a generic email stating that there have been issues that have slowed manufacturing of certain models.

Just make sure that account is still set up to receive email communications. You can do that on Ford's website. I have FordPass with my Escape and I wasn't set up to receive marketing emails to start with. Once I turned it on, the status emails started flowing. Others on this forum had the same experience.
