Hybrid Audio upgrade: should I be concerned about battery drain?

I'm getting ready to upgrade my hybrid XL audio system with:

Morel maximo component speakers
Kicker 10" sub behind seat
Kicker key 200.4 amp

I purchased the plug and play kits harnesses as well.

I have my install scheduled for the end of this month but I'm becoming concerned as I'm reading that with the system checks the vehicle does periodically will turn on some of these components and drain the battery, causing the battery drain problems that many are having with their hybrids.

My question is, am I safe to install these items, and if so, how might I avoid this battery problem?

that's only an issue if you use signal sensing power on. if you wire a regular remote power on it will be ignition switched and won't power the amp if telematics or key proximity wakes the truck.

I have an add on fuse in #4 for my remote amp power on.

You are basically installing exactly what I had in mine. I never had any real drain issues in the ten months it was installed, but it became an easy target for blame once the harness issues plagued me.

Enjoy that setup, it will sound great!
