If the dealer accidently put their Synthetic blend oil instead of the 0W-20 - can that damage the engine somehow? or just cause less mileage between oil changes?

What is the reason only 0W-20 is accepted for the hybrid? looking back at a previous invoice from my last oil change and looks like it says Synthetic blend even though I always ask for full synthetic....

You are fine. No damage will happen. The dealer is being cheap. If you are asking for it and they are not giving you full synthetic, I'd make a deal about it. Go back and get what you paid for / what you want. Nothing wrong with syn blend other than there is really no reason to use it now days. Synthetic blends break down quicker than full synthetics.

0w-20 is just the viscosity the 2.5L needs. Nothing wrong with that weight and viscosity, in fact, it's been proven a great oil for many engines.

Thank you, Was just wondering if the dealership accidently thought it was an eco boost and put the 0-30W\5-30W the ecoboost takes if that would damage something somehow....

Unlike on the EB, you want the 0-weight cold viscosity because the hybrid engine only fires up once in a while and rarely gets the engine fully up to temperature unless you are running it all the time on the highway.

Just provide your own oil. I use Mobil1 0-W20 Full Synthetic oil & Motorcraft FL-910S Oil Filter purchased at walmart. If your dealer balks at using your oil & filter, find another dealer. Or use a known reputable auto repair shop, not a quickie oil change place - unless you know & trust them. If using an independent shop, keep and upload photos of your receipts with your mileage, etc. in the maintenance records section of the Ford App. This is all you need to keep your engine warranty in force. Dealer visits for oil changes and other routine maintenance are not required.
