Just got my Mav but can't seem to figure out how to turn off regular daytime lights. Even if the switch is set to off the lights are on all the time.

It's an option in the IPC but probably not present on Canadian Mavericks with DRLs being legally required (similar to how fleet orders can spec DRL always on). FORScan could enable the option.

Sorry I meant to say the lights are always on no matter day or not daytime running lights. So the lights are bright.

Do Canadian Mavericks have configurable daytime running lights?
Our Cdn cluster does not even have those options.

XL and XLT use the low beams as DRLs. Otherwise not sure what you mean by 'the lights are bright'.
I have to disagree on that. I don't have the XL or XLT model, but it is my understanding those models use the turn signal lamps as DRLs.

Why would you not want the DRL's on ????
I had the same question running through my head, but chose not to ask. But, yes, I don't understand why someone would want to disable a feature that provides a safety factor.

As I pointed out in my post, I don't have either of those models, so it was just my "understanding", not a biblical truth. My reason for looking at this thread is to see if those amber lamps on the XL or XLT are used for anything else other than signalling. On the Lariat, they are used strictly for signalling and thus only have two wires. I'm thinking the XL & XLTs have three wires.

The law in Canada as of 2021 the lights are on all the time even if switch is off, reason being those drivers that donā€™t turn the lights on when itā€™s dark so you are able to see the taillights. I canā€™t imagine for the USA Ford is building different cars. We donā€™t have the option to turn off the DRLā€™s
why would you not want to be seen?

I used the wrong lingo, not DRLs (the canadian cluster doesn't have an option for changing DRL), I meant regular headlights.
