Does anyone know how to turn off AdvanceTrac / Stability control?

I've tried holding, pressing once and holding.
When I just hold it, it gives the message AdvanceTrac On, but then the traction control button doesn't work at all.

I also have Forscan if it's something I need to change

I believe that if you add the fX4 drive modes to your maverick, when using sand or mud modes, stability and traction controls are off! I will confirm this later this week

Hey there, I was wondering if you had a chance to test your theory. Found out on my non-fx4 I have the same dilemma where I can't turn off stability management.

In forscan the highlighted options should do the trick, Not tested yet, in my XLD FWD are:

Advancetrack hard button control Enabled
AdvanceTrack Control Disabled

Do you want to give it a try?

Well, I'm a little over a year late on this. Going to reply anyway. After taking a look at for scan, (swapped to the escape HVAC unit for the digital readout and my heated mirrors stopped working), I took a look at the advancetrac issue. Turns out, mine already has the hard button control enabled and the advancetrac control disabled like in the pic. Holding the traction control button down while traction control is on, gives me the message saying advancetrac enabled. Then it disables the button until I restart the truck.

If I turn off traction control and then hold the button, I get a different message saying traffic control enabled and the button disables again.

And by disable, I'm meaning no response from the system on if I'm turning the traction control on or off. Once I restart the truck, I'm able to turn on and off traction control.

Hey I read your reply a couple times and I am confused. Were you able to disable stability control or not?.

In my 2024 maverick, im having trouble finding out how to disable the stability control. I’ve unlocked every drive mode with Forscan, and every single mode has advancetrac stability control ON. This actually made it more difficult for me to get out of the snow because it would cut the throttle even tho traction control was disabled.

Anyways, the IPC in Forscan mainly just controls what shows up on the instrument cluster whether it’s operable or not. I would assume advancetrac stability could truly be disabled in ABS or another module. I might do some testing today and see what works and what does not.

I was not able to turn off advancetrac. I also went in with forscan and added the fx4 drive modes to my AWD XLT. Found the even in sand mode, tcs turns off automatically, except the advancetrac stays on. Thought it would turn off when sand mode was selected.

I agree that the abs module would be the place to look.

I came to the same conclusion with sand/snow and the mud/ruts mode!

Hey so on every maverick made to date the coding shows in the IPC that Advancetrac Hard button control is ENABLED and Advancetrac Control Function is DISABLED. I am going to try to ENABLE Advancetrac Control Function and see if that gives us the ability to turn it off. I will report back.

Also, I searched through the entire coding and really only found one other coding that would permanently disable advancetrac stability control. This is in the PSCM (power steering control module).

Unlike the F-150, in the Maverick the advancetac(stability control) is not user controlled. Traction control can be turned on/off by the driver but the advancetrac function cannot.

I’ve been meaning to look into this one. Considering the LOBO has drift mode I imagine there is some ability to get to this. Fun with Forscan soon when I can

with forscan anything is possible! you can turn the stability control off in the focus st and the focus rs. Im not sure why Ford disabled this option for the Maverick...

HERE is a link on how to disable Advancetrac on the Maverick. I tested it out by doing full throttle donuts in the snow!
