I find I'm using the touchscreen probably more than I anticipated so far, but I'm not sure I see a benefit since I can't drop the center console 🤣

If you did get it, did it impact the touch sensitivity at all, and why did you get it?

I do almost every thing from the steering wheel options so dont see any need. If I or had a passenger eating with greasy fingers that would be touching the screen I'd get a screen cover. Glass only, the film type screens are pretty useless as protection and can actually catch more dirty finger prints.

I have one. If somehow you scratch the screen you'll kick yourself in the ass for not spending $10. Just my opinion....
This is the answer right here. It's not about finger prints or dropping the screen it's 100% about all the micro scratches that show up right away. These screens are very prone to scratches even if you think your fingers and the screen are clean. After a few years it will bad

Reviving an old thread. My aftermarket headunit in my Tundra does not have a screen protector because the manufacturer said it can overheat the display and cause damage. Could this be an issue on the Maverick if I decide to use one?

I’ve never had a screen protector on any screen I’ve owned and I’ve never had a scratch or problem. You all have some crazy-ass dry skin or something? Lol

I put a screen protector on when I first got my Mav but found it affected the screen sensitivity. Mine had good reviews on Amazon but I ended up removing it. Screen seems to be in good shape so far. I'm usually the only one in my Mav so no worries here.

Put one on and noticed no degradation of the touch response. Easier to clean too 😎

I'm pretty sure the screen in our Mavericks is a polycarbonate too, and not glass. Never really cared to check, but if anyone has the tools and a spare screen, I'm willing bet the scratch resistance level is really low and probably worse than some cheap non flagship phones. Go full JerryRigEverything and do a scratch test :ROFLMAO:

I use one, it was $14 for some peace of mind and I haven't paid any attention to it since I put it on.

I have one. Kept the factree film on it until it arrived... for this reason.

That + tailgate letters meant free shipping for both

I chuckle at so many things written by non "English as a first language" people:
  • Easy Installation: Aligning the four corners and install it, then film can be effectively installed to the screen, without any air bubbles leaving.
A question: do any of them reduce the glare that makes it hard to use at times when backing up, OR is there a way to brighten the screen?
