Did you already try a soft reset?

When the vehicle ignition is on Press and Hold the Radio Power Button/Volume Dial and the Seek button (>>) at the same time for about 5-10 seconds until the Ford symbol flashes on the screen and it resets.

I would think the hard reset would be done through the settings on the screen.

Confused -are your directions to do the soft reset or a hard reset?

The reset procedures he mentioned is a soft reboot but resets the system. I have found on my Escape it is solid for correcting issues.

Do you have an iPhone? Check for an update. Apple pushed one because they broke Apple Play bluetooth.

FWIW, the power and skip forward button procedure is for all Fords with infotainment screens that I've encountered. I can't speak for all Fords and Lincolns.

The soft reboot worked! Thank you! To note: to reboot successfully you must first REMOVE your device from the system in your car. If you go into your screen and go to settings and start poking around there is a way to do such.

FWIW I was having bluetooth connection issues too. I deleted my phone from the radio, shut the mav off, then told my phone to "forget" the mav and rebooted the phone. Then i turned bluetooth back on my phone and searched for the mav while telling the mav I wanted to connect a new device.

That made it work better but I suspect it will get jammed up again and will have to be repeated.
