When you say "just happened to me" do you mean you went to a dealer's lot looking for an in-stock unit and found that they had marked up the vehicle 20k (what else is new?) or you special ordered this Maverick and they hit you with a 20k markup? If it's the former it is what it is, people are paying stupid money for these things so blame the uninformed consumers with money burning a hole in their pocket. I honestly don't blame the dealers if stupid people are willing to pay these markups. It amazes me that people are paying 10k over for used Mavericks on Carvana, Vroom and Carmax

I kept getting advertisements on social media and decided I would stop by my local Ford dealer to check them out. The mark up on an XLT with the hybrid motor and a truck bed cover was $20000. The sales guys were laughing at me when I said I wanted to look at a Maverick.. They told me get ready to open up your pocket book because we have a very firm grip on them. I could have bought a I've bought a Bronco for $3000 less. Are you serious , I don’t get it I went to the dealership and picked mine for MSRP- $500 because we were repeat customers my wife liked my maverick so much she purchased one a few weeks ago, this truck was ordered by some one in Vermont. When he came to pick up the truck the dealership could not sell him the truck . It had to stay in Canada.
XLT , AWD, floor liners, bed liner, and ford 360 co pilot .
This one the dealer would not budge. I had to pay MSRP.
I know that they are hard to fine , but there crazy. Do you think they will find someone to buy it ?
Ford should do something about this. The dealership should have some consequences for there actions.
