Is that an honest question?
When you compare the maverick which is a brick, to a prius which basically built in a wind tunnel, yes.
Seriously, is that a troll? Did someone skip freshman physics? The Maverick is literally a brick with an open bed, it's also higher than the prius and corolla which were designed primarily with low CD in mind. The Maverick also weighs 500lbs+ more. It is pretty incredible that they were able to get 42/33/37 out of it and many of us are getting way better than that (we're at 50.4mpg, 50/50 street highway, after ~4500 miles).

It is impressive that the maverick can get those mpg numbers.
It was actually pretty funny on the prius forums when the maverick was first released last year, there was a whole thread claiming there was no way the maverick hybrid could get those mpg’s and that they must be wrong. They were upset lol.

As far trucks both of them really don’t have affordable and good gas mileage trucks . The civic does well but your not putting hay etc in the back of it . The ridgeline a bit pricey and the taco overpriced guzzler and lacks power .

I'll never buy another Honda! Had a 22 Crv. Did 1st oil change and darn thing had an under published issue with fuel dilution in the oil! I asked in the crv forum and found out they prohibit talking about it! They will delete it and ban if you continue. I google it and found nothing but lawyers wanting to help sue Honda.
Honda couldn't fix it and said just change oil more often .. traded it the same week for the maverick
