My comment is tongue in cheek. At MTC, We’ve seen quite a few mavericks get totaled that have less visible damage than what you have here.

On 11/12/25, taking off from a light, 25 to 30 m.p.h., a lady crossed into our lane, hit us head on with her car, into our drivers side, no airbag deployed on Mav.,hers did deploy, she backed up off of Mav , and we thought she was pulling off road, but ran.

Police came took a report, during that time a Good Samaritan came, said he followed the car, found it's resting place and made identity of women and car. Officer went and ticketed her for,hit and run, leaving scene of accident, and no license, not sure about insurance on car.

Needless to say truck is at body shop for estimate and repairs.

That’s going to cost a bit to repair. I just got my wife’s Mav back from body shop last week. Someone ( hit and run)had hit right rear corner and messed up cover, cracked the tail light and pushed the corner body panel out maybe 1/2 inch. $3000 in damage. Luckily insurance covered it.

It's a terrible feeling when you realize the other driver is hit and running. Been down that road myself, also.

You brought up an interesting point. I have two tablets, this is the newer of the two. The other older one does weird things when I am typing a reply here on the club forms. I get letters I didn't type but got close to on the keyboard and there is an extraneous letter. Other times it freezes for a second or two. Both tablets are using Gboard. This one seems to be better, so I may sound less like an idiot. There is a slight disconnect between my brain and my finger but it's mostly a hardware issue.

I’ve used this body shop for years and luckily they are an accepted shop with my insurance. Filing a claim was painless. I dropped it off on a Monday and Thursday they called and said it was ready. They did a great job, even cleaned it inside and out including buffing the entire truck. Looked better than the clean up the dealer performed when I bought it.

default should be if you leave scene of accident you forfeit any 'get out of taking a drug/drinking test' card. People are tools and get rewarded for bad behavior, they know this and they just continue their mayhem.

That's bullshit, I hope you are well and your insurance takes care of you. I remember back in 2019 I went to Northern New Jersey to visit Medieval Times, some woman swiped my Mustang, she pulled over but gave me a fake insurance card. I wanted to get out of there as the traffic was dangerous and I had little area to pull over, so I didn't wait on the cops.

Even though I had her license plate, my insurance company decided not to go after her and held me at fault. My rates didn't go up but I am pissed about that to this day.

Mine wasn’t damaged near what yours looks like and mine was $3000. Compared to damage on my truck that looks like $7000-$8000 of damage, hope you don’t come out on the short end of the stick.

Click this link above , these are the wheels I have,20" . Discount tire matched price and ordered for me, and installed. Love that I can get my sponge into spokes and actually clean the inside of the rim and the back of the tires also. Also love that it has a center cap covering lug nuts
I also ordered a 2nd. Set of center caps in case some break, they are plastic.

Did this for 2 of the center caps on my hyundia ,that is 25 yrs old ,Cracked and I could only fine 1 and it was $ 180.00 " don't think so" . Got new wheels on hyundia.

They are going to fix my Mav, $5,000.00 , I am so happy not having to deal with a totaled truck, for it is suppose to be our forever truck.
