What is the highest number of gallons pumped into an Ecoboost Maverick?

The discussion over in the hybrid drive train is the Hybrids are holding up to 16.5 gallons. More than advertised.

Are Ecoboosts getting more gallons in the tank than advertised as well? Or did both trucks end up with the same tanks?

I am asking for ECOBOOST owners to reply please.

Tanks. I mean Thanks.

LOOKING at 20 owners with a total of 500+ tanks on Fuely, I saw LOTS of fill ups right at 16.5 gallons (and they presumably weren't empty).

Never been able to get more than 13 and change into my hybrid but I almost never let it go that low since it can be bad for the ICE.

I've seen a 18.0 gallon fill up on Fuelly. But that was one out of only a dozen owners. Anyone with EcoBoost ever fill with more than 18 gallons?

About 90% of owners have re-fueled with more than 16.5 so we know the physical tank is larger than 16.5.

I'm 99% sure the in dash computer uses 16.5 gallons for your range calculations but reserve fuel remains beyond MTE 0.

I don't mean to be offensive. But if anyone is filling up past the first click they are an idiot. Advertised capacity (i believe does not account for reserve) I imagine it is quite easy to get more gallons than that. But why would you? When you do that you will damage the evap system. And also, what a weird topic to be hung up on anyway.

That's not it.

Many, many (like more than half) of owners get more than advertised AT FIRST CLICK.

In the hybrid there is capless filler system. There is an air tight valve at the top. And no way to "look into" the neck to see what you are doing. Makes "topping off" nearly impossible by design.

Well in NJ and pay cash the attendant will most always will fill to the next dollar after it clicks. Pay with a cc and they won't. Or just ask them.

Your assuming all gas pumps are calibrated correctly and fuel temperature is the same. Lot of variables here.
