How are you liking the new Conti Tour 54's on your wife's Escape hybrid plug in? Also what tires did you replace on the Escape? Do you notice any difference in fuel economy? Like I mentioned previously we are tire shopping for my wife's 23 AWD Escape Hybrid which came with Michelin Primacy A/S from the factory but they are looking a little worn at 40K miles.
I put 225x60r18 on my lariat load rated 100
Considered the 235 rated 103 but 29.1"diameter and 2.6-3 lbs heavier so worried about mpg. The 225 work great and mph became spot on with gps. Worn primacy were almost 2mph low. Have settled in to psi at 37.5-38 cold. Are super good on wet pavement with grooves and high density sipping.

Glad to hear your happy with the Conti 54's compared to your previous Michelin Primacy's. Any difference (+ or -) in regards to mpg? I'm in SE MI but we still usually get our fair share of snow but the OEM Primacy's on my wife's Escape seemed to do ok in the snow so I'm sure the Conti 54's would do just as well if not a little better in the snow.

I don't keep mpg records but I saw no apparent mpg degradation and think possibly better. How the about 1.5-2 mph less than gps mph with the primacy and the correct match to GPS with the Conti 54's affected the mpg calc, I haven't adjusted for.

A little update - I ended up getting a pretty good deal on a set of Pirelli Scorpion All Season 3+ tires from America's Tire for $780 installed w/tax. They got installed yesterday - the new tires are quieter than the old worn Continentals and ride a little better. Have only driven on them ~30 miles so will update after a few months!

The OEM tires had 37k miles and were down to 2/32nd tread.
