Can someone help me how to use the L "Low" button in the center of the drive selector turn knob? How do I know if it is on off and the ins and outs of this function. Does it light up when on or not. Any and all help will be appreciated.
Thanks
Gotta find a 12 y.o. to play with the features and program everything.

On the hybrid it's basically telling the computer to either increase regenerative braking and/ or engine braking. So that's going to depend on your throttle position and how much you're going downhill. The hybrid system in itself is going to be regenerative braking without it. And that increases when you have it in eco mode anyway. When the HV battery is full, it's just full on engine braking because you can't push electrons into a full battery. In most circumstances and Short hills, you're not going to need it because of regenerative braking Just increasing to maximum on the guage if you're not on the throttle at all and going downhill. I don't have an EcoBoost so I can't describe how that works but I'm guessing it's just engine braking. Even without hitting the L button, it's going to start engine breaking once the HV battery is full and You are going downhill and particularly hitting the brakes. The L button Just makes this more of a severe operation for really steep stuff. Most humans are not going to need it in their normal driving. You can also play around with it and it will force full regenerative braking without hitting the brake pedal.
