Remember that Manuel down there in Hermosillo wrote a manual for your Maverick..... Might check the light selection dial on the left front below the display. Set it to auto and see what happens!! ;)

Just verify that you have it set to automatic 😉 also the drl (daytime running lamps can be turned off too in your display settings of the dash/steering wheel controls)

I would prefer they did NOT come on at start up. During the day I turn them off as well as the auto stop-start, but both revert back once you shut down and restart the engine.
You can set the drl off in the settings

I actually like the thought that the lights, day or night, make me and my vehicle more visible. After an accident I wonder how often the police hear: Gosh, I didn't even see him/her coming........

Love my Cactus Gray but I am sure a Hot Pepper Red is a bit more visible in most difficult light conditions. I am letting my lights make me more visible. Just my choice...... ;) :giggle:

I went through settings in both the instrument panel and the infotainment screen and didn't see any options for that in the drop down lists.

I'll be checking that out, I did turn the Auto high beam off the first week I had it.
It makes me wonder if it effects the lights coming on automatically at dusk

I've got a weird issue where flipping the headlight switch does nothing to my lights at night.
I'll take a video and post it tonight.

I believe the OWNERS MANUAL states that the truck reverts back to automatic headlights every time it’s started.

Headlights turn on in a garage most of the time.

Perhaps, also, the longer days, (now getting shorter), made it bright enough that the sensor didn’t turn on the lights? This would only apply if it’s parked outside.

You're kidding, right? Why would you ever turn off such a simple safety feature?

Two reasons primarily, the more they are on the sooner they will burn out and need replacing. I also don't need headlights coming at me to see an approaching vehicle in broad daylight.
