Haven't even made it to 2 months ownership and this windshield chip / crack happens

Driving home yesterday on intestate 5 just outside the city limits of Redding heading home from a fathers day weekend at our daughters house while driving down the interstate around 70 mph we heard a huge bang / thud smack / pop sound from which seamed to have come from instrument cluster area of the dash, the truck all seamed ok nothing stopped working the dash didn't feel loose? We wondered what in the hell it was so I was going to just pull over and decided to just take the next exit to check it out and gas up...
Got out walked up to the front of the truck and looked at the windshield there it was....

Just below my line of sight in the black area of the windshield...
Needless to say you can't fix that one so now we have to have our windshield replaced already on the horn getting quotes...

Same thing at around 230 miles on her ,and I bet for all of us no matter the speed you were going you saw that F-en rock coming at you in slow motion

I keep $100 deductible comprehensive for this reason. The delta between it and $500 or $1000 isn't that much.

I believe ford will replace the windshield through the warranty within the first year. Check your paper work.

Ford will not replace a windshield for damage.... Warranty coverage is 12/12 for stress cracks.

Mine is $0 because the premium was just pennies a month higher than having the deductible. Either way it's dumb to have a vehicle and not have comp.
