Yep, coming this Sunday, I will be the owner of a 23 Maverick XLT Hybrid truck. I bought it online at Carvana.com and did the whole thing without even looking at it, touching it or even sitting in it (shame on me!). I actually had to go to a local Ford dealership to see if wifey could get in it, as she uses a walker) and it might have been too high for her. Nope, she was quite comfortable in it. You'll be seeing the Six Foot Pickle on here more often asking all sorts of questions, like what type of tonneau cover is best, etc. I'm just an old dude, pushing 80 (not there YET!) and hope to see ya later!

Congratulations. Hope you and your wife will enjoy the vehicle.
I am in the same boat as you. Have never test driven the Maverick and just went to the local dealership who only had a LOBO in the showroom. Was sitting in it and bought my vehicle on-line. Will be leaving in the morning to fly up to Kentucky to pick it up. Really excited.

It's crazy how high the used Maverick’s are selling for. I initially began my search in the used market too but then decided new was the way to go, virtually the same prices. Good call and I wish you many happy and safe miles with your new Maverick. Welcome to the club!

Congrats. I just bought a cheapie Soft tri fold cover off Ebay for $130. Had it on my 23, now on my 25. Keeps everything dry, but none are watertight.

Good morning, and congratulations on your new 2025 Mav! We were waiting for the hybrid to come out with the awd and 4k tow and then we're were in as soon as we could order it.

Have a good read of the e-manual, there is a lot of new and necessary info such as breaking it in properly. We want our great little trucks to last as long as possible!

Have a great day,

Andy

Congrats on the brand new Maverick!! I hope you’ll love yours as much as I love mine!! I personally like the hard top trifold covers rather than a soft cover. The hard top gives anything you’re carrying in the bed an extra level of security. The one I have locks when my truck is locked, so no need for an extra key. Canvas covers are easy to break into, either by just unsnapping it or cutting it with a knife. Mine is rock steady on the highway. Canvas covers flap and will cause noises that will irritate you!!

To whoever bought my 22 Maverick Lariat Lux w/sunroof and CP360 on Carvana, congrats to you. I babied it and do miss it, and will likely buy a 26 after I am doing with my move and my need for my F150.

Wondering if you or anyone else can post the break in procedure for the 25 Maverick Hybrid? Just wondering if there's anything special we need to do?

A common question, listed guru.

I quickly reviewed my e-manual (if you don't have yours, a quick search on the inter-web should find one...just make sure it is for your year, model of vehicle as well as hybrid/turbo appropriate. If you have the Ford app, put in your vin and it should work for you as well.)

I personally recommend what i do for all gas engines I own...general info only.

Use top tier fuel only if at all possible,
use quality oil,
Start the engine, let it run a little bit to lubricate everything,
Vary the RPM of the engine (if on the hwy, don't use cruise too much to accomplish this as well). This is so the rings on the pistons and sidewalls don't wear in for one speed/rpm point only,
Try not to tow anything till you have broken the engine in, first 1000 miles should do it,
Try to keep your speed below 70 mph is recommended as well, i do believe,
I will be changing my oil at about the 4000 mile point to get any and all debris that is inherent in most engine break-in, out.

That is a pretty good start, and I hope this helps!

Please remember there are many thoughts as to proper break-in, these are some of mine on top of that indicated in the manual.

Cheers,

Andy

Wise decision. I have never found a good value on a used truck. The used market tends to be either trucks that were beat on, or priced close to new.
